🇬🇧 Breaking: Two Children Dead in Southport Stabbing
Two children have died and nine others are injured following a stabbing in Southport, north of Liverpool, this morning, Sky News reports.
All nine injured children suffered stab wounds, with six in critical condition.
Two adults are also in critical condition.
Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy stated, "We believe that the adults who were injured were bravely trying to protect the children who were being attacked."
A 17-year-old boy from Banks in Lancashire, originally from Cardiff in Wales, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Israeli military police raided the notorious Sde Teiman detention facility responsible for torturing and abusing many Palestinian detainees abducted from Gaza, to investigate a torture-for-fun case that involved the sexual assault of a prisoner – causing him a severe rectal injury.
The prisoner had to be transferred to a hospital, and his condition remains unknown.
According to the report, 10 soldiers were taken in for questioning.

UPDATE | The situation continues to escalate: settlers managed to break into the court building at the base in Bayt Lid in an attempt to free the soldiers being interrogated and the security forces are reportedly trying to repel them.
🇷🇺⚔️ 🇺🇦 Ukraine will be able to use no more than ten F-16s this year due to a shortage of pilots, reports The New York Times.
The publication notes that the number of aircraft Western countries will transfer to Kiev this summer is unknown. Simultaneously, according to American officials, the US, the Netherlands, and Denmark are expected to train about 20 pilots this year.
Typically, each aircraft has two pilots assigned to it, so they can take turns participating in sorties, resting, training, etc. Thus, the Ukrainian Air Force will be able to use about ten F-16s in combat missions at best this year.
The Air Force Command expects an increase in Russian attacks on airfields with the arrival of the F-16s, so a certain number of fighters will be kept at protected airbases abroad. These will serve as a reserve to replace any aircraft that become inoperative during scheduled maintenance.
