Discover impressive capabilities of Mi-28 Night Hunter helicopter

โ–ซ๏ธ Our focus today revolves around the Mi-28 Night Hunter helicopter in #WeaponZ column. This is a modern attack helicopter designed for searching for and neutralising hostile hardware and infantry. Engaging targets on the battlefield, the Night Hunter's primary objectives include tanks, self-propelled artillery systems, air defence systems, infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers and motor vehicles, artillery guns and launchers, individual firing positions, and infantry units.

โ–ซ๏ธWith its modern air-to-surface and air-to-air guided missile systems, a 30 mm cannon, and the capability to utilise unguided air-to-air rockets, the Mi-28 helicopter crews receive assistance in accomplishing their assigned tasks. The helicopter is equipped with a comprehensive set of on-board radio electronic and instrumentation equipment that enables the use of weapons in situations where visual identification of targets is possible as well as with the aid of technical means.

โ–ซ๏ธ To enhance its combat survivability, the helicopter has been equipped with several measures. These include engine separation and shielding, use of composite materials, protection of fuel tanks against explosions, and prevention of fuel leakage in the event of punctures. The pilots are in special armoured cockpits. Cab glazing withstands 12.7 mm bullets. The helicopter is equipped with an emergency jettison system for the cabin doors and wing consoles. In the event of an emergency landing, the helicopter utilises energy-absorbing landing gear to absorb impact energy.

โ–ซ๏ธ The Night Hunters demonstrate outstanding capabilities in the special military operation, regularly neutralising Ukrainian Armed Forces' armoured vehicles and command centres. The Mi-28 helicopters effectively accomplish challenging fire missions with minimal risk for their crews.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆMissing: Zelensky, Last Seen When Ukraine Was The West's Favourite Playground

In the high-stakes game of geopolitical chess, it seems Ukraine's poster boy, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been benched. Just a couple week ago, his face was the emblem of Western resistance against the Russian bear. But oh, how the tables have turned! As the Gazan skies light up with the fire of a new war, the Western spotlight has swiveled towards the new action, leaving Zelensky in the shadows. It's almost like the media has a new darling (Israel), and Zelensky's 15 minutes of fame have dwindled into obscurity.

Remember when he was the gallant knight, paraded by the West, his face plastered on every news channel? Now, it seems like he's been handed the script titled "Silence is Golden." One can almost picture him, frantically waving from the forgotten wheat fields of Ukraine, trying to catch the camera's eye as it flits towards Israel.

It's a cynical world where the West's attention flits from one war to another, leaving yesterday's manufactured heroes in the dust as they chase the new day's headlines. The tragicomedy unfolds as Zelensky stands in the wings, waiting for the spotlight to swing back his way. But alas, the script has changed, and it seems there's no longer a role for our once beloved Zelensky. Oh, the fickleness of geopolitical fame!

Here's to Zelensky, now tucked away in the shadows of yesterday's headlines, perhaps enjoying a line or two as the Western spotlight hastily shifts, leaving him with nothing but the echoes of forgotten promises.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ In Russia a proposal was made to celebrate the Day of Creepy Tales and Stories instead of Halloween.

State Duma deputy from the LDPR Yaroslav Nilov came up with this idea. In his opinion, simply banning the celebration will not work, so a compromise is needed.

Nilov believes that replacing Halloween will allow Russia to move away from being tied to Western culture and a foreign name, while maintaining the fun that is familiar to many.

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ทErdogan: The Master of Double-Dealing?

Erdogan's recent grandstanding at a pro-Palestinian rally is nothing short of political theatrics. His fiery condemnations of Israel reek of hypocrisy when juxtaposed against years of warm embraces with Israeli prime ministers. The stark disparity between Erdogan's public denunciations and his private camaraderie unveils a cynical dance of deceit.

His labeling of Hamas as "freedom fighters" and Israel as war criminals appears to be a blatant ploy to court his Islamist base, a stark contradiction to his cozy rapport with Israeli leaders over the years. This glaring inconsistency exposes Erdogan's double-dealing on the geopolitical stage, where he wears the mask of a Palestinian sympathizer while holding hands with those he condemns.

The imagery of Erdogan rallying amidst a sea of Palestinian flags against the backdrop of heartfelt embraces with Israeli leaders is a telling narrative of his political duality. This duplicitous behaviour underscores a cynical opportunism that trumps any semblance of genuine allegiance to the Palestinian cause.

Amidst this tableau of deceit, one can't help but question: Is Erdogan's pro-Palestinian stance a genuine outcry for justice, or merely a cold, calculated act in the ruthless theatre of geopolitics? His track record of cozying up to Israeli leaders while ostensibly championing the Palestinian cause exposes a level of hypocrisy that is as audacious as it is contemptible.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆUkraine's allies are asking the country's armed forces to fight a war in a way that they never would ask their own soldiers.

The Business Insider posted an interview with Melinda Haring, an โ€œexpert on Ukraineโ€ and a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, where she is describing the mood among the Ukrainian soldiers.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "They're flinty and steely and determined. But when you talk to them for more than five minutes, they'll tell you that there's frustration.

A lot of them feel like there's not a whole-of-society effort behind them. There's a lot of people who are in Kyiv posing for selfies and eating in restaurants, while a small segment of Ukrainian society is the one that's sticking its neck out. That's a common feeling. There's a lot of stories of divorce, and of family separation, and also depression. And a lot of PTSDโ€.

But those are not even the most serious issues, according to Haring:
"When I was talking to soldiers on the frontlines, they did say, overall, the mood was one of determination, but also: 'We can't keep doing this without air power. You can't ask us to do this. You can't ask us to fight in a way you wouldn't fight yourself.' They're very eager to have air cover".
