☠️🇺🇦🇪🇸🇨🇦Two foreign volunteers died near Artemovsk - a Spanish woman and a Canadian.

The death of a Spanish citizen was confirmed by the country's Foreign Minister José Manuel Albarez.

"Unfortunately, I can confirm that a missile hit the car in which this Spanish worker, who worked for a humanitarian NGO in Ukraine, was traveling. We have verbal confirmation of her death," Albarez said, as quoted by Reuters.

The charity Road2Relief clarifies that the Spanish woman's name was Emma Igual. With her in the car during the shelling were German volunteer medic Ruben Mavik, Swedish volunteer Johan Mathias Thier, and Canadian volunteer Anthony “Tonko” Ignat.

The Canadian, as the report says, died. The remaining two volunteers received severe shrapnel wounds and burns, but their condition is now stable.

The volunteer car was driving in the area of Chasov Yar.

🇷🇺Russia's Diplomatic Triumph at G20: When the Global South Silences the Western Narrative (Part 1/2)🌍

By: Gerry

➡️The recent G20 summit in New Delhi was less a meeting of minds and more an arena of geopolitical chess. Gone are the days when Western narratives monopolized the discourse. This year, brilliantly maneuvered by India, the summit swerved into a nuanced middle ground that makes you wonder: Is the world waking up to a new reality?

➡️Instead of adding its voice to the Western chorus condemning Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, the G20 declaration took a pivot. In a climate where denunciations and diplomatic skirmishes are the order of the day, this pivot is not just a deviation—it’s a revolution. It's a break from the binary thinking that has engulfed global geopolitics, choosing instead to emphasize the principles laid out in the UN Charter.

➡️Even Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov seemed pleasantly surprised by the turn of events. "A step in the right direction," he quipped. In a more elaborated statement, he added, “Speaking frankly we didn't expect that. We were ready to defend our wording of the text. The Global South is no longer willing to be lectured.” The significance of these words cannot be overstated. If Lavrov’s sentiments are any indication, the tides are turning. And they are turning fast.

🇷🇺Russia's Diplomatic Triumph at G20: When the Global South Silences the Western Narrative (Part 2/2)🌍

➡️Now, let's compare the language here. Last year in Bali, the G20 summit had thundered its disdain for Russia with phrases like "in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine." Contrast that to this year, when the Delhi declaration delicately danced around naming names. Instead, it discussed "the human suffering and negative added impacts of the war in Ukraine with regard to global food and energy security." It's not a subtle shift; it's a seismic one.

➡️This is not mere diplomatic decorum or idle wordplay. This is the dawning realization that finger-pointing and sabre-rattling are antiquated games in a world grown weary of them. In Lavrov's words, “The Global South is no longer willing to be lectured.” This statement alone uncorks a bottle of uncomfortable truths the West has been trying to keep sealed: its monopoly over the global narrative is crumbling, and the Global South is rising to reclaim its voice.

➡️The summit also marked the inclusion of the African Union as a new permanent member. The symbolism is potent. The Global South is not merely a spectator in this global theatre anymore; it's now a lead actor. India's role as the summit host was emblematic of this change. One of its key objectives has been to make the G20 more inclusive, with greater participation from Global South countries. In essence, the G20 is no longer a club of advanced economies dictating terms to the rest of the world.

➡️Let’s also not forget the elephant in the room—or in this case, the absent giants—neither President Vladimir Putin of Russia nor China's Xi Jinping graced the summit, sending lower-level delegations instead. Yet, the statement that emerged was far from being Western-centric, making one wonder what message this sends for future geopolitical alignments.

➡️It's not just about the issues discussed at the summit—whether it be climate change, biofuels, or economic security—it's about who gets to frame these issues. And if this summit is any sign, the stage is set for multiple narratives to flourish, challenging the existing monologues that have dominated for far too long.

➡️The West’s game plan—using Ukraine as the tip of the spear in a hybrid war against Russia—has lost its sheen. It’s as if the world has collectively decided that they’re not willing to “fight to the last Ukrainian,” as the cynical saying goes. Russia is not just standing its ground; it's setting the stage for a new world order where multipolarity is not just a theoretical concept but a lived reality.

➡️To cap it off, the summit concluded without the customary G20 “family photo.” It may seem like a trivial omission, but in the language of diplomacy, it’s a glaring footnote. It speaks volumes of a world coming to terms with new alignments and discomfort with the old ones, embodied by the hesitation to be photographed together.

🚨So what does this all mean? It means the world is ready for a new script. A script not penned in Washington or Brussels but in the collective meeting rooms of a multipolar world. If the recent G20 summit is any indication, that script is already in the making. And Russia, against all odds, is one of its chief architects.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 From War Correspondent Alexander Sladkov:

💬 "This is how they captured a Ukrainian sabotage group in the Bryansk region.

I emphasize:

The Ministry of Defense holds the border like the front line, responding to all Ukrainian attacks with our own, and doing so successfully.

The FSB, in its confrontation with Ukrainian special services and law enforcement, maintains complete control over all territory from the intelligence side.

Border guards protect the border in the classic sense, treating it as a highly dangerous and espionage-prone area, much like how the border with Afghanistan was protected.

The National Guard searches the forests and combats enemy underground activities.

If there is a specific threat that requires an immediate response, these agencies come together and act as a unified force. This is the secret behind why the saboteurs in Bryansk were captured alive."

🇺🇦Zelensky acknowledged the changes in the attitude of some Western partners to the needs of Kiev

The President of Ukraine also said that he was morally ready for a long confrontation with Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he felt changes in the attitude of some Western partners to the needs of Kiev.

"I have this intuition, I read, hear and see their eyes [when they say]: "We will always be with you," but I see that he or she is not here, [he or she] is not with us," he said in an interview with The Economist magazine. At the same time, Zelensky warned that "if the partners do not help [Ukraine], then they will help Russia win."

Speaking about the prospects of the conflict, he said that he was mentally ready for a long confrontation with Russia. "I have to be ready, my team has to be ready for a long war, and emotionally I am ready," he said. At the same time, the President added, it is too early to present to the Ukrainian people the prospect of complete militarization of the economy.

Two days earlier, Zelensky also stated that the pace of hostilities, the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions and the supply of Western weapons to Kiev is slowing down.

🇺🇸🇺🇦F-16 aircraft could be in Ukraine as early as February 2024, writes The Wall Street Journal.

Ukrainian officials estimate that the United States can train the first group of Ukrainian pilots in five months. This group of fewer than 10 pilots will soon begin training at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson, Arizona.

The American side is more restrained in its forecasts. The Wall Street Journal writes that F-16s require approximately 16 hours of maintenance on the ground per hour in the air. Training technicians can be more difficult than training pilots.
