π·πΊβοΈ πΊπ¦ WSJ: Kiev Didn't Insist on Accepting Zelensky's "Peace Plan" During Negotiations in Jeddah
The newspaper highlights that during the negotiations in Copenhagen, Ukrainian authorities insisted that major developing countries adopt "Zelensky's peace plan," which is centered around the demand for Russia to withdraw its troops.
"In Jeddah, Ukraine and major developing countries seemed to be striving for consensus. A high-ranking European official stated that Ukraine no longer insisted on adopting its own peace plan, and other countries didn't insist that Kiev abandon it," the publication writes.

π·πΊβοΈ πΊπ¦ Dmitry Medvedev on the "Peace Talks" in Jeddah on his Telegram Channel
π¬ "About Jeddah:
It's hard to condemn the desire to end the war. It's impossible to argue against references to the UN Charter while understanding that besides sovereignty, there's also the right of nations to self-determination.
However, any proposals for peace have chances of success if three key conditions are met:
1. Involvement of both sides of the conflict. And that's absent.
2. Consideration of historical context. It is such that Ukraine as a country did not exist before 1991. It's a fragment of the Russian Empire.
3. Consideration of current realities. These are: Ukraine is in a state of semi-collapse, and part of its territories have returned to Russia. The mediator who's ready to acknowledge these obvious things has a chance at success.
All others - none.
Moreover, negotiations themselves aren't needed for now. The enemy must crawl on their knees, begging for mercy."
