Zelensky’s legitimacy will soon be questioned
The fate of the current regime in Kiev is sealed, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to remain in office indefinitely, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview published on Sunday. He will have to “somehow exonerate himself” in the eyes of his fellow citizens and other nations in order to maintain his grip on power, the Russian official said.
A presidential election was scheduled to take place in Ukraine on March 31. Zelensky canceled it along with all other elections in December 2023, citing martial law and the conflict with Russia. He also announced at the time that no new elections for either president or parliament will be held as long as martial law remains in force. The move essentially extended his mandate indefinitely.
“I believe Zelensky’s fate is sealed, “A moment will come soon when many people, including those inside Ukraine, will question his legitimacy.”

Ask yourself, what would we say if China did this? Or Cuba? Or Russia?
"TOTALITARIAN REGIME CRACKS DOWN ON POLITICAL DISSIDENTS."
Yet, when we do it, the very same media who throw themselves into fits every time Xi and Putin sneeze are totally silent now. Odd how that works, isn't it?

🇷🇺🏴 In Karachay-Cherkessia, another high-profile incident has occurred: near the village of Mara-Ayagyu, unknown assailants attacked a traffic police post, opening fire and using an improvised explosive device.
According to preliminary information, one law enforcement officer was killed, and four others were injured. In the return fire, three of the attackers were eliminated.
A week earlier, a similar incident occurred in the region: then, militants opened fire on a police car in the area of the Lower Market in Karachayevsk, killing two officers. According to some reports, the same group may be behind the new attack.

🇷🇺🇻🇳 Lenin Statue Inaugurated in North-Central Vietnam
Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam, and Ulyanovsk City, Russia, held an inauguration ceremony for a statue of Vladimir Lenin in Vinh City, the capital of the Vietnamese province, on April 16.
Nghe An, the homeland of the late President Ho Chi Minh, a revolutionary icon in Vietnam, hosted the ceremony.
The 4.5-metric-ton, 3.6-meter-tall pure copper statue was unveiled to commemorate the 154th birthday anniversary of the late Russian leader (April 22, 1870 – April 22, 2024) and symbolize the partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice-Chairman of the Nghe An People’s Committee, Bui Dinh Long, emphasized the strong development of relations between Vietnam and Russia.
Nghe An Province and Ulyanovsk, Lenin's birthplace, established their cooperative partnership in 1990. Long also mentioned that a five-meter-tall full-body bronze statue of late President Ho Chi Minh was erected in Ulyanovsk in 2017.
Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko described the Lenin statue as a fresh symbol of friendship and cooperation, not only between Ulyanovsk and Nghe An, but also between Vietnam and Russia.
