🇺🇦☠️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine have a serious shortage of doctors amid growing losses
Ukraine is experiencing a serious shortage of medical personnel on the front line, writes The Washington Times. Moreover, this shortage of health workers is observed against the backdrop of growing losses.
Like combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian doctors working on the front line face shortages of equipment and supplies in the face of a larger and better equipped enemy.
According to 34-year-old anesthesiologist Sergei, nom de guerre Johnson, daily Russian shelling is far from the most pressing problem for Ukrainian medical staff. When asked by the publication what he and his team need most, he immediately answered: “People.”
“We don’t have enough qualified specialists, surgeons, doctors and nurses,” explained Sergei. “A healthcare professional can do more with fewer resources, and that’s exactly what we need right now.”

🇺🇦🇪🇺🇷🇺 Ukraine is aggressively demanding an additional €5 billion from the profits derived from frozen Russian assets, which the EU has opted to keep from them.
Euroclear, the entity responsible for holding the majority of Russia's central bank assets in Europe, has been allowed to retain the profits earned from investing these assets in 2022 and 2023 instead of allocating the funds to support Ukraine's war efforts.
Despite Ukrainians begging for funds for ammunition, the European Commission only recently suggested utilizing 90 percent of the proceeds from frozen Russian assets in Europe to purchase weapons for Kiev. This amounts to between €2.5 billion and €3 billion annually, according to EU sources.
However, the EU is limiting itself to revenues accrued after February 15, 2024, the date when the initial part of the legislation was approved by EU member states. Profits generated before this date will remain under Euroclear's control.
Nevertheless, Ukraine now demands on accessing these funds as well.
The €5 billion in profits from these two years “amount to one year of an IMF program, so it’s a lot of money,” said Olena Halushka from the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory, a pro-Kiev lobby group.
According to the Commission, the €5 billion retained by Euroclear is a buffer allowing payment for ongoing and potential lawsuits in Russia and elsewhere.

🇬🇧⚔️ 🇷🇺 Britain could not sustain a conflict against Russia for more than two months, admitted Deputy Chief of Defence Staff Lt. Gen. Rob Magowan. - The Telegraph
Former Armed Forces Minister Mark Francois stated that the UK “couldn’t fight [Vladimir] Putin for more than a couple of months in a full-on shooting war because we don’t have the ammunition and reserves of equipment to do it, that’s true, isn’t it?”, which Magowan acknowledged.
Former defence chiefs informed the Commons defense committee that the Armed Forces had been “hollowed out” since 2010 and would exhaust their capabilities after the first couple of months in a peer-on-peer conflict.
Sir Rob insisted that the UK was “ready for war” but admitted it was not prepared for a prolonged conflict against Russia.
Secretary of Defense Shapps stated that any such conflict would be fought alongside NATO allies, who "could collectively outgun Russia, rather than by the UK alone."
