“Western governments are developing plans to issue debt to help finance Ukraine, using Russian assets as support to repay the debt,” the material says.

According to the publication, the coalition supporting the Kiev regime will demand that Moscow repay this debt, and if it refuses, it will seize blocked Russian assets.

A new secret plan has emerged in Europe to confiscate Russian assets.

According to the Financial Times, it consists of financing Ukraine through debt obligations that will be secured by Russian assets.

Then, "the coalition backing Ukraine will demand that Russia repay the debt, and if it does not, then frozen Russian sovereign assets will be confiscated."

Such a plan was sent to the G7 countries by Belgium, which holds the lion's share of Russian securities (191 billion euros).

Representatives of the two countries told the FT that this is now the main option for unlocking Russian funds for Ukraine. This method will make it possible to finance Ukraine immediately (by borrowing money for it using Russian assets as collateral), and postpone the issue of confiscation of Russian funds until later.

In the meantime, the main EU countries are opposed to the direct confiscation of Russian money, since this “could have consequences for financial stability” (that is, other countries could begin to withdraw funds from Western funds).
