What a bloody start to August! 🕯
Were seeing lots of red all across the board, BTC back below 63k post-FOMC as tensions in the Middle East continue to rise...
Recently Iran's leadership reportedly ordered retaliatory attacks against Israel, increasing concerns of a broader conflict.
Additionally, the Fed left benchmark interest rates unchanged yesterday and gave little indication that a widely expected rate cut in September is guaranteed.
Also including mass ETH ETF outflows, I am not surprised to see the market reacting in this way...
Hopefully you guys listened to my other recent market updates. This dip was fairly predictable given all aspects mentioned.

The Bank of Japan recently raised interest rates by 0.15%, leaving the key BoJ rate now sitting at 0.25%, the highest since Dec. 2008
Although still low, the difference between the BOJ and peers is that they’re tightening rates whilst everyone else is loosening...
Why is Japan doing this? There are many reasons internally and externally (Read more below). But why is this important?
Investors are now concerned, the money they borrowed at lower rates is no longer as cheap and therefore they're de-risking and reallocating funds back to Japan (Est. $4T Usd in potential exposure)
The question that remains is what happens next, and how will others react to it? Its hard to say, but If it outflows pick up and other economies raise rates, risk assets are going to get slaughtered!

3 things to focus on while the markets are rugging...
1️⃣ | Studying: I cannot stress enough how important it is to use times like this to learn more about different technologies and strategies. No market crash can take your knowledge away.
2️⃣ | Networking: Becoming skilled at networking and building connections is much more important than people often realize. Trying to become profitable by yourself is not the most effective way to maximize gains in these markets. Network = Net worth.
3️⃣ | Buy the Dip: Learning how to dollar-cost average (DCA) on dips is crucial. Make a list of your highest conviction plays and then an enterance/exit plan. Be greedy when others are fearful - W.B.
Still alot you can do with your time in these markets. Don’t sit back and do nothing like most people are...

I know it's tough out there frogs...
The vast majority people are down bad this past week/month, especially those with higher risk portfolios.
But remember, as history has shown us, times like these have always presented opportunities of a lifetime.
• March 2020 - Covid pandemic crash
• November 2022 - FTX/Alameda crash
• August 2024 - Jump Trading, Japan, Middle East
Although stabilizing now, I'm expecting more downside in the markets this month. Potentially one more big flush...
If the markets continue dipping hard the Fed will likely aggressively cut rates and be forced to start quantitative-easing again.
I suspect lots of sidelined liquidity will be coming into the market in Q4, as the DXY starts to collapse and bond yields get cut.

Just recently, Circle (the issuer of the USDC stable coin) announced that is was "discontinuing USDC on the TRON blockchain". Now USDT is expected to do the same. I wonder why!
