What is being marketed as defending children is being exploited to take away digital privacy. This isn't a partisan issue with this many states involved. It's an attack on privacy. Adult content is ambiguous, this can mean games and game modding, apps, comics, books, on and on. The state and big tech are being given responsibility to parent.

Google has not backed off on it's developer verification program. This will affect F-Froid, as later versions of Android will not allow anything but verified developers even without Google Play.

This is gate keeping and using monopoly power to control the android app market. It is not a coincidence that FOSS is under attack. The last means to get away from surveillance.

I’m sorry… but this is bullshit. To implement this, there's no real way to find out if a user is underage without asking people to upload identification. This stinks like a backdoor to digital ID. Something Ron Desantis was repeated against.. what happened?

The fact is PARENTS… not the GOVERNMENT, are responsible for their children. And if PARENTS want to - every single platform online has Parental Controls which have existed for all operating systems.

But it’s too late…Florida's HB 3 has already passed and its law.
