BIG Win for sanity…

🚨 Louisville Kentucky forced to Pay $800K After Court Sides With Christian Photographer who refused to take Wedding Photos Celebrating Same Sex Marriage

- In 2019, the city’s public-accommodation law threatened to force Chelsea Nelson, a Christian photographer to take wedding photos and write blog posts celebrating same-sex marriages — messages that conflict with her religious beliefs about marriage. The same law also stopped her from sharing her own faith-based views on her studio website.

- A federal judge ruled that Louisville violated Nelson’s First Amendment free-speech rights by trying to make her create speech she disagrees with. The court issued a permanent order blocking the city from enforcing the law against her and awarded her nominal damages. After nearly six years of legal battle, the city has agreed to pay $800,000 to cover Nelson’s attorneys’ fees to settle the case.

- Why this is huge? The win builds directly on the U.S. Supreme Court’s 303 Creative decision, which protects artists and creators from being forced by the government to express messages they don’t believe. In other words, more precedent has been set.
