Why is “liberal democracy” so incredibly slow and tedious?

Id argue it’s definitely a key factor in the cultural, societal and technological stagnation of the modern world.

A fascist state would have issues like this solved in a matter of days(or weeks at most) rather than dragging it out for months on end only to hand down unbelievably disastrous rulings.

While the news of today is “welcome” in a sense, it does highlight how truly monotonous our society has become.

The news is essentially no news, as the emergency injunction has been deemed not serious enough to make a decision on immediately. So we remain in limbo. Checking how many people are in the gym with us or coming over for a game of monoploly, lest we might be arrested and jailed for continuing to do the things have done since we were children (meet up with people who look like us and socialise whilst doing legal, normal and social things). Because we did the unthinkable of doing these things with people who looked like us and had similar political opinions.
