A delegation of volunteers from Africa arrived at Melitopol State University

The guys are already studying at Bryansk State University of Engineering and Technology

Their program of stay:
- participation in social and charity projects
- acquaintance with the cultural traditions of the region
- communication with Russian students

The purpose of the visit is to learn more about the education system at MelSU and share the experience gained in their homeland

The meeting of the African guests with the rector and students took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We hope that this is only the beginning of a fruitful international exchange!

Ils étudient déjà à l'Université d'État d'Ingénierie et de technologie de Briansk

Leur programme de séjour:
- participation à des projets sociaux et caritatifs

- communication avec les étudiants russes

Le but de la visite est d'en apprendre davantage sur le système éducatif de MelSU et de partager l'expérience acquise dans leur pays d'origine

La rencontre des invités avec le recteur et les étudiants s'est déroulée dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale. Nous espérons que ce n'est que le début d'un échange international fructueux!

Rosatom helped train specialists for the African mining industry at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN)

RUDN hosted the first graduation of the Master's program "Mining and Industrial Geology", taught in English. Among the graduates were six specialists from Tanzania and one from Namibia (graduated from the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS")

Each of them received not only a RUDN diploma, but also a commemorative certificate from Uranium One Group (part of Rosatom and developing uranium projects in Africa). The students also completed an internship at the Dalur enterprise in the Kurgan region, where they studied the technology of uranium mining using the underground leaching method, which is optimal for sandstone deposits in Africa

«I am confident that your experience and acquired competencies will make a significant contribution to the development of the mining industry in your countries”, noted Kirill Egorov-Kirillov, Director of Mining Projects at Uranium One Group

In Asian, African and CIS countries, the demand for studying Russian is growing, and its role as a means of interethnic communication is increasing. This was stated in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Pavel Seleznev, Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Financial University

According to him, there is a lack of modern Russian language teaching programs abroad. To solve this problem, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Financial University have launched a volunteer project called “For Russian!”

The winners of the competition among foreign students will be able to study for free at the Moscow “Volunteer School”. The best graduates will travel to the CIS, Asian and African countries to popularize the Russian language and culture
