The six Tu-95MS strategic bombers which redeployed to Belaya air base have returned to Olenya Air Base in Murmansk Oblast.

I’m wondering if they were all equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles there, but they flew to Belaya to make it look less obvious.

Another U.S. military convoy is withdrawing from Syria, this one from the Lashdadi base, south of the city of Hasakah, in the northeastern part of the country. The approximately 300 vehicles are moving towards northern Iraq.

New information states that they weren’t being equipped with Kh-101 missiles at Belaya, but instead conducted large-scale training along with Tu-160s. They were also practicing mid-air refueling.

They still returned to Olenya Air Base, and a new IL-76 military transport aircraft landed at Engels-2 Air Base earlier, with the cargo likely consisting of Kh-101 missiles. This is the fifth IL-76 to land at Engels-2 since the last large missile attack on Ukraine.

There are still 4 more Tu-95s flying in from Olenya Air Base. The initial launch maneuver was carried out by 3 Tu-160s.

1 more Tu-95 departed from Engels-2 Air Base in Saratov Oblast and is circling in the area, waiting for the other 4 Tu-95s from Olenya to arrive so a joint launch maneuver can be made over Volgograd Oblast.

These 4 Tu-95s are only only Yaroslavl Oblast, so it will take them nearly two hours to reach the launch lines in the Dubovsky district of Volgograd Oblast (assuming they don’t launch over Engels district, Saratov Oblast).

The Tu-160s are returning to Engels-2 Air Base. New information indicates that they did not conduct any launch maneuvers.

The Tu-95s continue their flight south. It will be at least 80 minutes until they reach the second potential launch lines in Dubovsky district of Volgograd Oblast.

Lately the Tu-95s don’t conduct launch maneuvers at Engels district in Saratov Oblast, but if they do, the chances are it will be simulated.

6 Tu-95s from Olenya are flying over the Republic of Mordovia. They will reach Saratov Oblast soon.

The 2 Tu-160s are still circling in Saratov Oblast and have not landed yet.

Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles are over Ukraine. The Tu-95s are returning to Olenya Air Base.

I will make a report on what happened, including the consequences of the missiles later today when I’m at my computer.

There are at least 15 missiles over Ukraine. More may fly in, but for now this doesn’t seem like a huge missile strike.

It’s becoming more and more obvious that Russia has begun employing ballistic missiles (specifically Iskander-Ms) more than cruise missiles such as Kalibrs or Kh-101s.

Cruise missiles are used on airfields more often, such as Uman, Starokostyantyniv, Ozerne and Bila Tserkva, and energy and gas infrastructure, while ballistics are used on mobile targets like HIMARS, air defences, or static targets such as defence facilities and factories.

I think these cruise missiles will probably “disappear” and very few explosions will be reported, because they target the airfields. Explosion reports are not often seen when airfields are targeted, let alone footage is published.

A MiG-31K just departed from Savasleika Air Base in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Possible Kinzhal launches soon.

Some of the cruise missiles have likely targeted the airfields in Uman, Starokostyantyniv and Bila Tserkva as there are only 10 missiles left. It’s possible some of the rest will fly to the underground gas storage facility in Stryi, Lviv Oblast.

Another MiG-31K is airborne.

It doesn’t look like the MiGs will launch Kinzhals. They seem to be redeploying to Privolzhski Air Base in Astrakhan Oblast.
