The sources say Israel conveyed this message to senior White House officials during meetings in Washington last month, as well as to various congressional representatives, arguing that a new Turkey-backed government in Syria poses a threat to Israelโs borders.

Russian forces continued their offensive in the western part of the Kursk salient, and have eliminated the Ukrainian salient northwest of Lebedevka.
This salient formed after Russian forces seized Lebedevka and Sverdlikovo, with a few Ukrainian groupings remaining stationed in the treelines. However, Russian forces were able to advance, and capture these three treelines. They also gained a foothold on a fourth one.
Russia then went on to attack west towards the settlement of Loknya with armoured vehicles but was repelled by Ukrainian forces.
