Yesterday the Russian MOD claimed that Russian forces captured the village of Sobolivka (red box), west of the city of Kupyansk.

Naturally, all the accounts who don't care for accurately reporting the situation on the frontline immediately began reporting on the operational encirclement of Kupyansk and the imminent collapse of Ukrainian lines west of the Oskil River. Some didn't even realise that the information originated from a claim by the Russian MOD.

In reality, Russian forces are still fighting for Radkivka (yellow box), which they failed to take in late May and were forced to roll back after Ukraine began counterattacking. Since then, they focused on actually securing control over Kindrashivka, which should have been the focus from the beginning. While Kindrashivka is technically under Russian control, the probability of future Ukrainian infiltrations into the village from the west/northwest remains high due to Ukrainian advantages in the geography of the region.

Nevertheless, this allowed for Holubivka to be captured, and the wrap-around to Radkivka to take place. After a regoupring, Russian forces renewed their attakcs there. Heavy fighting is now ongoing, with the AFU putting up fierce resistance as usual for this sector.

Keep in mind, the Russian MOD previously claimed to have captured Moskovka (orange box), to the north of Sobolivka, however it turns out that DRG units were operating in the north of the village, disrupting Ukrainian defensive operations and creating confusion among units. The AFU has since been able to establish solidified control over Moskovka, although Russian DRGs regularly operate north of the village and on the outskirts of Kupyansk itself.

However, the main point that I am making is that the Russians have not broken through in the Kupyansk direction and are instead advancing at their usual pace here, which like some other sectors, has proven difficult to crack.

I'd also like to reiterate that you should never trust official government claims, especially if they seem unlikely to be true. Governments lie, especially in wartime. It doesn't matter if it's Ukraine or Russia, both of them have lied in the past and will continue to into the future.

Earlier this morning, large numbers of Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant (KHZ) in Moscow Oblast. Several explosions were reported, and at least 2 impacts were confirmed, although the number is likely higher.

The Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant speciliases in the production of chemicals for both industrial and military use. It also produces charges for artillery and other explosives, as well as components for ammunition.

So far, damage to multiple warehouses has been recorded, but a lack of information makes it difficult to determine other impacted parts at this time.

Impact location: 56.448957, 38.232986

In the Bilopillya direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have crossed the international border at Sumy Oblast.

After securing the road leading into Tetkino, Russian forces continued to attack towards the water treatment plant and secured control over it and the surrounding treelines. This allowed for attacks to take place across the international border in the direction of the village of Bezsalivka. Russian forces were able to capture the treelines on the border and seized positions in the first houses of Bezsalivka and in the adjacent forest.

To the west, Russian forces advanced from eastern Tetkino, securing the treeline to the east, and began storming the trench strongpoints on the adjacent treeline in a southeastern direction. They were able to capture these, allowing for them to advance uphill and reach the international border, establishing control over positions there.

+ ~8.28km² in favour of Russia.

In the Yunakivka direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have seized the intiative again.

Following a series of successful Ukrainian counterattacks, Russian forces began reversing Ukrainian progress and have recaptured the southeastern houses of the village of Novomykolaivka.

They then went on to capture the forest plantations in the low-lying ground to the east, as well as the treeline to the south, creating a solid line outside Novomykolaivka, and threatening the Ukrainian position in the neighbouring village of Varachne.

+ ~2.68km² in favour of Russia.

In the Myropillya direction, Russian forces continued to slowly advance near the international border and have captured new positions in Sumy Oblast.

Following multiple failed attempts to capture the village of Oleksandriya, Russian forces advanced from the forests south of the village of Guevo, crossing a stretch of open fields, and reached a small forested area north of Myropillya, where they took up positions.

Additionally, the frontline was corrected to the northwest, where Russian forces captured both banks of this section of the Psel River on the Kursk side of the international border.

+ ~3.29km² in favour of Russia.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces continued to slowly advance north of Kupansk and have entered the village of Radkivka again.

Russian forces advanced from the forest to the northeast, entering the northern and eastern houses of the village and establishing positions there. Fighting is ongoing for the remaining houses, however Russian forces control the forest to the northwest, complicating the Ukrainian position there.

Additionally, Russian forces advanced down the road from the water treatment plant west of Holubivka, and captured new positions in the windbreaks on either side of the road, reaching the forest south of Radkivka.

+ ~0.54km² in favour of Russia.
