When you enjoy a high standard of living, like I assume people in Argentina do, then you can waste your time with pointless entertainment like football. You can engage in friendly international banter, and honestly be proud when your team wins. But had we won, all Egyptians, sweating in their mildewed exposed red brick rooms with not even a fan to keep them cool, would know deep down inside, despite all appearances to the contrary, that they have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to be proud of.
