The simplest examples like the ones below will become significant if we give ourselves the trouble to think about them seriously. Suppose a person puts his sexual desires first. In this case, his material well-being and emotional security may suffer, as well as his position in society.

Another person may become so greedy for material goods that he is able to give up everything in order to get more money. Going to the extreme, he can turn into a cheapskate or a hermit who has neither family nor friends.
A person's well-being is not always connected with material wealth. How often we meet with intimidated people who are completely dependent on those who are stronger and let them lead and protect themselves. These weak people, who refuse to cope with the demands of life on their own, never become adults. Their fate is one of frustration and helplessness. If their protectors abandon them or die, they are left with their loneliness and fear.
