Tune in to GB news now for Andrew Boyle’s Free Speech Nation show. Our very own Dr Tess Lawrie will be joining Andrew with Neil Oliver at around 8.30 pm BST to discuss the latest curveball the Better Way Conference has been served.

As the title of the show suggests this one is all about Freedom of Speech and we know all too well how censorship has blocked the most important information for the nation from getting to the people who need it the most.

"People shouldn't be threatened by debate"

This evening it was confirmed that the agreed-upon venue for the Better Way conference, hosted by the World Council for Health, has withdrawn its support for the event following pressure from the local council; citing concerns that the conference might "undermine the vaccine rollout in Bath".

A new venue has been confirmed and the event is still set to go ahead as planned in a new location.

The event will be available to view online LIVE May 20-22 and on-demand thereafter.

Contrary to rumour, the Better Way Conference is STILL going ahead.

Last night, I was interviewed on GBNews about a pretty shocking story. As I may have mentioned (several times, and this won’t be the last), the Better Way Conference is taking place in Bath, UK on 20-22 May. We had a great venue lined up: the Assembly Rooms, a beautiful Georgian building in the town centre. All was booked and ready to go – then we received an email from the venue manager saying they were withdrawing their agreement of room hire. Put simply, Bath Council got cold feet about hosting a conference that allows scientific debate and open conversation, and cancelled our booking.

You can hear more about what happened on the interview clip that GBNews posted on YouTube.

Now, about that clip. I’m really grateful to GBNews for giving us the airtime to explain the situation and discuss the consequence of such a decision on free speech. The only problem is that the clip doesn’t include the very last bit of the interview where I confirm we’ve found another great venue – also in the town centre – and the conference is still going ahead.

Unfortunately, the clip has led people to believe the conference may not be happening. So please, tell everyone the good news: the Better Way Conference definitely going ahead and it’s going to be amazing.

This whole situation has made me more determined than ever to get these important conversations happening – and to ensure as many people as possible get to participate. In fact, now we have another venue confirmed, we’ve been able to add a few more in-person tickets. So if you’re able to make it to Bath, we would love to have you!

If that’s just not possible, you can still participate online. It’s just Β£49 for a virtual pass to all seven conversations – I may be biased but I do believe this could be the best Β£49 anyone spends this year in terms of physical, emotional and mental well-being. These videos will be available on-demand so you can also tune in at a time that suits you.

With all that in mind, I want to offer all subscribers to my Substack a 10% discount on virtual tickets to the conference.
