Some days you wake up with feelings of guilt. It’s a giant hole in your soul. Guilt has a purpose. It is there to bring you back into alignment with what you really value. It’s a feeling that should make you want to make amends and change a behavior. Guilt is different from shame. Shame is when you feel defective in some way. I doubt you are, but you may feel that way. If you’re feeling guilt, change your behavior. If you’re feeling shame, change the person and let yourself heal. You’re no different than anyone else. We all suck sometimes. Just don’t suck ALL the time. You’re gonna be just fine. Me too. Love y’all.

For the last year I have been actively speaking out against the public school system because of its faulty foundation and twisted agenda in indoctrinating our kids. Here’s the sad thing about today: Some people haven’t made it this far. They didn’t let themselves. They listened to the demons in their brain and rather than go further they gave in. They gave up. They decided they simply couldn’t go on. I’m sorry to hear about Naomi Judd, but hearing about a celebrity succumbing to a mental disease reminds me of the untold masses of quiet lives struggling, suffering, and surrendering.

Is it you? Are you the one that’s on my mind right now? Does it help to know that I’m praying for you in this early morning moment and that I care about you whether I know you personally or not? Maybe it doesn’t. I guess that I want words to help you, but I realize they rarely do. I just know that you didn’t come this far to ONLY come this far.

There is a further that’s worth pursuing. I have to believe that every day for myself. I want to believe it for you too. Maybe we can believe together. I could certainly use your strength right now and I bet you could use a little bit of mine. So there. We are now in this together. We have a purpose. I’ll lift you up. You lift me up and let’s go further. You are loved and appreciated. So am I.
