▪️The M728 CEV (where CEV stands for “Combat Engineer Vehicle”) is based on the M60 MBT and is equipped with a dozer blade, a 165 mm M135 cannon and two machine guns. Its HESH shell is destructive and contains a TNT equivalent exceeding 20 kg! Bear in mind that the muzzle velocity is low on this gun, so take time to range and aim to ensure a hit.

Hornet’s Sting introduces the F/A-18 for the USA and Sweden in several variants, along with the Su-30SM for the USSR that features thrust vectoring, enhancing its maneuverability! ✈️The German La-5FN Temporarily Returns to Mark the La-5’s First Flight!

On March 21st 1942, the La-5 — a Soviet plane capable of fighting the Germans on equal terms — took to the skies for the first time. It quickly became one of the main aircraft that defended Soviet skies. In September 1944, Germany captured a fully functional La-5FN and studied it at Rechlin airfield.

▪️The La-5FN got its name from the more powerful M-82FN engine installed in this modification of the aircraft. For weaponry, this aircraft features two 20 mm ShVAK cannons with 340 rounds, great for taking out enemy aircraft.

🇬🇧Discounts for the Royal Air Force’s Birthday & the Introduction of the Harrier!

The British Royal Air Force was founded at the end of the First World War on April 1st, 1918. During the interwar period, the RAF became the largest air force in the world. Thanks to its excellent aircraft and skilled pilots during the Second World War, the RAF achieved victory in the skies during the Battle of Britain, successfully defending the homeland against Nazi Germany.

One of the Royal Air Force’s most famous aircraft in the second half of the 20th century was the Hawker Siddeley Harrier jet. It was the first aircraft to enter production that featured vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) capabilities. It entered service on April 1st 1969 and served until 2006 after several upgraded modifications.

▪️The Typhoon Mk Ib differs from the Mk Ia model in that it has four 20 mm Hispano Mk.II cannons instead of machine guns. It can carry a variety of bombs from 250 lb to 1,000 lb, as well as eight RP-3 rockets.
▪️The Attacker FB.2 was a carrier-based jet fighter produced by Supermarine in the 1950s. This variant features a more powerful engine and four 20 mm Hispano Mk.V cannons, while its external weaponry includes 500 lb and 1,000 lb bombs and 12 RP-3 rockets.

In this month’s Pages of History, you will find yourself in the midst of key historical events across different theaters of war. Iraq and Cambodia, Norway and Austria — take part in battles using vehicles corresponding to these historic conflicts and earn rewards!

🏪From April 1st until April 30th, you’ll have access to 8 tasks consecutively. Completing each task will grant you a trophy with a reward, completing all of the tasks will earn you a unique player icon!

👨🏻‍🦰Pavel Golovachev
was a Soviet pilot ace who fought throughout the Second World War and scored at least 30 aerial victories. He was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union twice. During the East Prussian Operation in December 1944, Golovachev ran out of ammunition after pursuing a German reconnaissance aircraft and opted to ram it. He destroyed the enemy’s tail with the propeller of his La-7 and was then able to pull out of spin and return to the airfield. For this, he received the Order of the Red Banner and later a second title of Hero of the Soviet Union. He scored ten more victories near Königsberg using this La-7, later switching it for the Yak-9. He ended the war in the skies over Berlin.

✈️The A6M5 Ko and A6M2 (USA) Temporarily Return for the A6M’s First Flight!

On April 1st 1939, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero made its first flight. This plane became the most widely produced Japanese aircraft during World War II. At the beginning of the war, its incredible maneuverability was unrivaled, and coupled with its powerful armament, ensured Japan achieved many aerial victories.

🏪The A6M5 Ko and A6M2 (USA) are temporarily available for Golden Eagles!

These two fighters are available for 3,850 and 1,300 Golden Eagles respectively.

When: From March 31st (12:00 GMT) until April 4th (12:00 GMT).
Where: USA / Japan > Aviation > Premium vehicles.

▪️The A6M2 (rank III, USA) was produced since 1940. In June 1942, one of these aircraft crash landed in Alaska, allowing the USAF to capture and inspect it. This highly maneuverable fighter is armed with two 20 mm Type 99 Model 1 cannons with 120 rounds in total and two 7.7 mm machine guns.

▪️The A6M5 Ko (rank IV, Japan) was a modified variant of the aircraft carried out in late 1942. It received two 20 mm Type 99 Model 2 cannons with 250 rounds in total. The speed and climb rate were also improved and a 250 kg bomb was added.

🛠Update 2.45.1.22

Aircraft
▪️F-117 — a task to acquire an additional camouflage has been changed. Now to obtain the camouflage, a player needs to destroy any ground vehicles (both AI controlled and players) instead of destroying players’ vehicles. The number of vehicles to destroy and the game mode multipliers have not been changed.
▪️Tiger HAD, Tiger HAP — a bug that caused the landing gear to be shifted has been fixed.

Ground Vehicles
▪️T-10A — an ability for an additional respawn in the Ground Simulator Battles, which was present by mistake, has been removed.
▪️AMC.34 YR, H.35 and FCM.36 have been grouped together.

Naval Vessels
▪️The damage to a naval vessel caused by an explosion in the ammunition storage rooms has been adjusted. Explosion power now depends on the amount of ammunition in the storage — the more explosives there are, the more powerful the explosion will be. Damage from their detonation is now considerably larger and has a greater radius of effect, in which it damages modules. We’d like to note that different vessels are built differently and while on some the ammo storage is separated from each other by thick armor, others can lack such armor or not have such thick armor, which can cause the explosions effect to drastically differ from one vessel to another.
▪️The propagation dynamics of fire on main caliber turrets via ammo elevators towards the ammunition storage rooms have been adjusted. On larger ships with inhabited ammo elevators the fire can spread through them upwards (towards the main caliber guns) and downwards (towards ammunition storage). Fire in the elevator can start from its destruction as well as from the damage received by the elevator (for example, an explosion of a shell inside it). Moreover, fire in the turret can spread down, to the elevators and if a player doesn’t react in time to extinguish it, the fire can spread through the elevators to the ammunition storage rooms. If that happens, there is little time to react — an explosion can happen at any moment while the fire affects the ammunition.

Locations
▪️Karelia — errors that caused visual artifacts to appear on the landscape have been fixed. Low-quality trees around the ground battle zone have been removed.
▪️Advance to the Rhine — the orientation of the distant helicopter spawn for the northern team has been adjusted. It is now facing the ground battle zone.
▪️Carpathians — areas that allowed climbing onto the cliffs in square G5 have been blocked.
