Reports coming from the Dnipropetrovsk oblast there has been a confirmed advance in the town of Novopavlivka which is currently in a battle for its control of the settlement.

UAF has launched a counterattack and has pushed RUAF out from the Northeastern parts of the town which they have withdrawn to the southern parts where they maintain a presence.

It was pointed that he wanted UAF to concentrate forces into a single "fist" force to recapture the partially occupied Zaporizhzhia oblast. However, due to his forces being spread out across the axis, they were too weak to launch with great striking power and break RUAF defences south of Orikhiv to push to the sea according to him.

📝🇷🇺🇺🇦 4 Years ago today, on February 21st 2022, Russia formally recognised the independence of Donetsk & Lugansk People’s Republics.

Throughout the day Russian Forces started transporting and deploying into DPR & LPR territory to prepare for the upcoming full-scale military operation.

📝🇷🇺🇺🇦 4 Years ago today, on February 22nd 2022, The Duma authorised Putin to use military force outside of Russia, The Kremlin also expanded the independence recognition to the full territorial areas of Donetsk & Lugansk.

Meanwhile Russian Forces continued deployment into the DPR & LPR under a ‘peacekeeping’ operation.

Internationally on this day, Germany halted the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and the UK/US imposed sanctions on Russian banks over the independence recognition the day prior.

It is worth noting that by February 22nd, Ukraine was already preparing for the invasion, they were mobilising reservists and Zelensky considered declaring martial law but did not decide to just yet.

Ukrainian Forces began to solidify positions in the East as there was Russian shelling between February 17th and 22nd around UA controlled Donbass with dozens of ceasefire violations being recorded during the days leading up to the full scale invasion.

Following a brief pause on the frontlines north east of Lyman, ths village of Stavky has completely fallen and been secured however the salient to the east of the village has collapsed making UAFs position very difficult to manage.

RUAF has launched multiple breakthrough assaults which may have potentially trapped UAF troops in the salient which was also called the "pocket" which the path of retreat has been cut.

📝🇷🇺🇺🇦 4 Years ago today, on February 23rd 2022, Ukraine declared a state of emergency (Not martial law yet), Russian employees of the Kiev embassy began to evacuate throughout the day under order from Moscow.

Around midday, DPR & LPR announced general mobilisation. By now though all effective military preparations were complete, and at around 23:00 Ukraine time, Russian Forces were in their final positions poised for the invasion, Western nations also noted this and warned Ukraine that an imminent invasion within hours was inevitable.

🇷🇺Russian Forces by the end of the day now had 170,000 personnel prepared around Ukraine

🇺🇦 Ukraine had 210,000 spread around its entire territory

03:30: Artillery shots across the border impact into Sumy

04:00: Components of the Crimean group cross the border early and the first ever war fatality takes place when a UA border guard suicide detonates a bridge whilst still being on it

04:00-5AM: Airstrikes nationwide targetting Air Defence & UA Aerial capacity mostly but also other military infrastructure.

05:00-07AM: The full scale ground invasion begins from all sides, the SMO is declared at 5AM during a national address by Putin

08:00: Hostomel Airports battle begins after Russian Airborne Forces arrive

12:00: Martial law in Ukraine is declared, general mobilisation also declared

13:00: Battle for Kherson begins as outnumbered UA defenders attempt to hold Russian Forces from crossing the Dnieper

20:00: Reports of RU Saboteurs in Kiev

22:00: Snake Islands defiant defenders are killed after massive bombardments

By the end of the day, Russia has invaded into Ukraine from all directions, the south being the most successful campaign, reaching Melitopol & Kherson in just hours, whilst Kiev was being approached and Kharkivs outskirts reached. In the initial day Russia managed to deploy around 70-100,000 personnel into Ukraines territory.
