btw I was writing a post about my great granddad shooting a bunch of nazis near the place where my house is now but then I thought that would be too much and deleted.

back in the days my thoughts of war were ignorant, as I see now. I was, to a degree, romanticising the whole thing. I'm not going to get into details, I think y'all will understand what I'm talking about.

now, as war had had been showing itself to me at least from 2014 (God almighty, time flies) I see it differently, I see it clearly and I am scared of it. like genuinely scared. but at the same time there's something I can't deny about my attitude towards the war, that's still standing. I feel somewhat calm about it. of course, my head hurts whenever I imagine being drafted or put into uniform, but it's just part of life in the end of the day.

fear kills before the bullet. life is with end and only God knows what happens to us tomorrow. don't worry about it.

countless amounts of artists represented WWI as meaningless meatgrinder, started solely by the will of a bunch of bankers/bourgeois/kings (to which I kind of agree) but even in it's meaninglessness it brought up the best (and the worst) human beings to their peak.

I don't justify it. I say that we have to look at the stories of people who survived it with care and be as well careful with our new surroundings, since every conflict changes people around us, it changes the surroundings, the environment.
