subwayMusic 0.4.13 - a music player based on YouTube

Great news! I have added full offline support. All downloaded playlists and their songs will appear in a new Download tab and can be used whenever you don't have an internet connection. If the app detects that you have no internet connection, this will be your default tab on startup.

Together with the offline playback, I have added a global mini player as well. So if you close your playlist, you will have a mini player below the bottom bar with basic controls and a button to go back to your playlist.

The Invidious servers are still a bit unstable, but will get better over the next days.

Introducing Project Astoria for Windows 10 Mobile build 14320

We are very excited to announce the release of Project Astoria for all Lumia phones (OEM devices untested).

It's just for fun and experiments to see if it was possible to bring Astoria to a newer build, and it was!

Supported Devices:
- Any Windows Phone that can run W10M

Known issues
- The "usual" bugs found in the Astoria subsystem which is taken from build 10570

subwayMusic - a YouTube music player v0.4.23

This release includes a small, but crucial bugfix. Up until now, you could select a server in the settings and the app kept using it even if it was already offline. Usually, you would go to the settings and change to another one (it gets applied "on change" of that selection), which was not possible with just a single server in the list.

So if you are unlucky like me, that old server would be in your config forever. This is now automatically detected and it will jump to another server of the list. If none is available, it will stay on the current one.

subwayTube - a YouTube player powered by Invidious v0.9.51

This version introduces the option to set a custom server. I have no idea what other servers there might be, but some people requested the feature a while ago.

Setting a custom server forces subwayTube to stick to it. If you want to get rid of the server, just clear the custom server and click on apply. It will revert back to the default behavior and continue to use the server list.

subwayTube v2024.11.71 - a YouTube player powered by the zombie-like, but still alive Invidious

This release does not include any new features, but focuses on some improvements to the UI that were long overdue.

The settings menu now includes the custom server option in the serverlist dropdown and the buttons of the customserver stuff now match with the rest of the app. Should be much easier to understand than the previous list + extra button solution. The other buttons will probably follow soon.

The videoplayer now moves the channelicon, videotitle as well as the icons for following the channel, copying the link and downloading the video in the lower section IF the video is landscape and the phone is held in portrait mode. In any other case it will be part of the overlay as in the versions before.
