Different Versions of MIUI ROMS

1. Xiaomi EU

MIUIPolska, which is created on the basis of China beta. It releases new updates every week, just like the China public beta version and in 99% with the same changelogs. And the stable version is released less often, because it depends on the China stable version.

2. MiuiMix (MMX TEAM)

In this MIUI everything is the same as in Xiaomi eu because it is based on it but it has been optimized and made smoother with better battery life. Has pre-installed Magisk already rooted (rooted) since the system was loaded.

3. MiRoom. ( Dead )

4. RevolutionOS. ( Dead )

RevolutionOS has everything the same as the earlier MIUI versions. As far as I remember, it is created by, among others, Spaniards and they introduce their changes in the same way and improve MIUI according to themselves. They are working on the MIUI overlay and pure AOSP android. For some models that no longer have support, they create ports from other models, so that this model can also be further supported by them. Just a few models are losing support from them.

5. Masik MIUI. ( Dead )

ART Optimisation Guide (credits to BRock):

After flashing ROM or after restoring apps (with Migrate etc.) if you face any UI lags, this will optimise ART runtime, lags will become negligible and also idle drain will be reduced a bit.

👉 Steps:
- Flash Magisk, no need if already done.
- Install Termux app from Play Store.
- Open Termux.
- Type this: su -c "cmd package bg-dexopt-job"
- Press Enter.
- If root permission asked, grant it.
- keep phone aside for a few minutes (depends on no. of apps installed), until a "success" message appears on Termux.
- Reboot to Recovery, clear cache and dalvik.
- Reboot!!!

👉 Note: Don't expect it to do magical reduction of lags if rom isn't natively optimised, but expect it to smoothen up a bit from before. If you prefer to unroot again, uninstall Magisk.

Unroot MiuiMix:

1. Backup current boot.img
Go to recovery -> Backup -> select boot -> swipe to backup

2. Flash magisk uninstaller or uninstall from Magisk Manager app

3. Reboot.

Re-root MiuiMix

1. Restore boot from backup
( Don't flash magisk zip, won't bootup )

Fastboot ROM Flashing Method Using Platform Tools (credits to BRock):

👉 Prerequisites: Install Minimal ADB Fastboot and all drivers from Mi Flash Tool. Reboot after installing.

👉 Steps:
1. Extract your fastboot rom on desktop (use 7zip or WinRAR to extract).
2. Extract platforms tools and copy all files from it to ROM folder.
3. Connect your device in fastboot mode.
4. Open ROM folder and open CMD window in it by pressing shift + right click.
5. Type fastboot devices
(Dont close cmd now, just minimize it if u want)
6. Then just double click flash_all.bat file if u don't want to lock bootloader, or, double click flash_all_and_lock.bat to lock bootloader.
7. Flashing will start, when it says "Press any key to continue..." click Enter.
8. Your device will reboot automatically (don't worry if you didn't click Enter, will reboot automatically anyway)

👉 Note:
- If your CMD window force closes, reinstall drivers again and try in other usb ports. Don't use usb 3.0 ports, always connect to usb 2.0 ports.

- It's always best to flash with stock usb cable, some usb cables cause write failure in middle of flashing.

- If you are getting image and device mismatched error even after u downloaded right rom dont panic... just disconnect and reboot to fastboot mode again (volume down + power) and reconnect... it'll work now.

- For linux users: follow same process... here you can just click/execute shell script files of those flash_all.sh and flash_all_and_lock.sh (already present in ROM folder) respectively based on your preference of locking bootloader.
