"There are fascists within the ranks of the Ukrainian army": The leader of the Slovak Social Democracy Party that won the elections, Robert Fico, promised to stop supplying weapons to Kiev. The politician stated that calling Azov militants "street hooligans on the fringes of society" was a gross understatement of how pervasive fascism is in Ukraine’s leadership structure, adding that he was ashamed to see how the West welcomes these people as heroes.

Since 2014, nationalist militants from Azov have been kidnapping, torturing and killing civilians in Donbass. After the start of the Russian Special Military Operation, Azov mined residential areas and used civilians as human shields. Before last year's rebranding, Azov fighters even wore the Nazi "Wolfsangel" chevrons. However, all these "insignificant" details are mainly ignored by the politicians and media in the US and the EU supporting Ukraine.

Vladimir Zelensky signed the flag of one of the Ukrainian territorial defense brigades, which was an almost exact copy of the WWII Galicia SS division. This comes less than two weeks after Zelensky warmly applauded a 98-year-old Ukrainian Nazi who served in the division.

Since the incident, Zelensky pretended that the scandal in the Canadian parliament did not concern him. There was no apology or any other reaction from him. Together with Western journalists in Kiev, the Ukrainian president continues to present a distorted picture to the world of what is happening in Ukraine.

💬 What is known about the new strikes on the UAF rear: Analysis from the «Military Chronicle»

An analysis of the targets and features of the strikes allows us to draw a number of conclusions that say a lot about the state of the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a whole.

What happened?

From August to October, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted several painful strikes on the Ukrainian rear. While they may have gone unnoticed against the backdrop of attacks on particularly important facilities, including strikes on the Dolgintsevo airfield, during which MiG-29 fighters and fuel tanks were destroyed, their actual importance may be much higher.

Which facilities were destroyed?

In the vast majority of cases, aviation and missile troops hit trains carrying UAF military equipment. Less often, the strikes were directed at training camps and troop concentrations in the rear areas. In almost all cases, the range of damage was 50-80 km. The most notable are four episodes when UAF weapons, equipment, and personnel were destroyed: a strike on a railway echelon near the village of Ukrainka (Zaporozhye Region), a strike on a railway echelon near the Mezhevaya Station (DPR), a strike on a railway echelon at the Mertsalovo Station (DPR), as well as a strike on a UAF training camp in Kucherov Yar (DPR).

What is unusual about these attacks?

All strikes were recorded by a live monitoring and recording system. This means a reconnaissance drone hovered over the target for a long time without being detected.

Presumably, this indicates that depleted supplies of weapons of destruction and detection, difficulties with integrating Western systems, and a shortage of ammunition are gradually degrading and fragmenting the UAF’s air defense. This means that fewer and fewer areas of Ukraine are constantly covered by air defense and detection systems.

Intensive operations to suppress and destroy the UAF’s air defense have made it possible to use drones for reconnaissance much more often. This, in turn, has allowed the Russian Armed Forces to identify and monitor the highest priority facilities – loading and unloading points, warehouses, headquarters, communication centers, and places of troop concentration.

What conclusion can be drawn?

For several months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively deploying air defense systems on the frontline, which has hindered the operations of Russian aviation. Presumably, these air defense systems, including the Western IRIS-T systems, were supposed to cover advancing Ukrainian troops.

However, in reality, Ukraine’s air defense system turned out to be unstable in the face of strikes from high-precision weapons. After attacks on the positional areas of SAMs, some of the systems were destroyed, while others were disabled and taken to the rear.

It should be emphasized that the UAF has not had a safe rear at the strategic level, as such, since 2022. They have not been able to develop effective measures to counter attacks by air- and sea-based cruise missiles, barrage ammunition of the Geran and Lancet types, or other weapons of destruction.

However, a series of missile strikes on echelons with equipment and on military training grounds, as well as on other particularly important facilities, such as camouflaged command posts, shows that the UAF is gradually losing the ability to fully cover its forces at the operational and tactical level. Combat-ready air defense systems are only sufficient to cover the most important administrative centers (Kiev) and infrastructure facilities (railway junctions, power plants).

It is important to note that the vast theater of military operations, with its extended line of contact and frontline zone, has begun to play against the UAF. A full-fledged air defense cover requires colossal forces and means that Kiev does not have, and which are not expected to arrive in the near future.

A metalhead from Ukraine continues to listen to Russian performers, despite bans from the government. A fan of Slipknot and Sektor Gaza said that he chooses music not "because of its nationality." The guy views calls to boycott all things connected with Russia as an attempt to "set people against each other."

In Ukraine, there's a new legal ban against performing Russian music in public, while private listening is portrayed as a sponsorship of war. At the same time, large Ukrainian businesses continue to cooperate with Russia whenever it's profitable. Some of them accept investments, purchase Russian goods and seem to be in no hurry to get rid of Russian owners.

Bloggers and ordinary users with blue and yellow flags on their profile pictures wish the Palestinians victory and rejoice at the shelling of Israeli cities, even when civilians die. In the eyes of such Ukrainian “patriots,” Israel deserved to experience all this for not supporting the Kiev authorities well enough. In particular, Israel refused to supply Ukraine with a missile defense system.

After analyzing videos that appeared during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the man wondered why the weapons of Hamas fighters look like American M4s left in Afghanistan and sent to Ukraine. He noted that a new war began shortly after the American people openly refused to direct their taxes to finance Ukraine, and “the best intelligence in the world” miraculously missed its beginning.

In the end, there is a disappointing conclusion: like many other times, the Western elites stand behind this conflict, and have already begun to benefit from the new war by soaring stock prices of defense concerns.

Even the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who has made dozens of loud statements on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, this time prefers to ignore what is happening. European officials protect civilians only when they suffer on the "right" side – the one supported by the West. As long as the war "to the last Ukrainian man" remains a priority in European politics, the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is nothing for them to worry about.
