My view: Murray’s book is about 40 years too late. America is already too divided, too low in trust, too angry; too emotional. As VDARE has reported, America is extremely polarized, to extent that it was on the eve of the Civil War.

To date: no response.

What is not being made is any kind of a coherent argument about why the United States of America benefits from random Third Worlders being flown into the country. There's no argument why at a time when millions of Americans are suffering, this is a productive use of American resources. Indeed, at a time of rising crime, there's no argument why this is a productive use of law enforcement resources.

One would think that if there was a Republican who was seeking higher office, even out of sheer ambition, he or she might say something about this. We could start by removing the supposed "legal" requirement that the federal government play babysitter to the world.

Thus far, there seems to be silence.

An obvious problem is that the U.S. government treats deportation as the final, ultimate, irreversible step like execution, so deportation proceedings, like death penalty appeals, get dragged out forever, since deportation can’t possibly be rescinded if any mistake has been made. Except … that’s not true.

We could just change the order of events around: you illegally overstay your visa and then get imprisoned for a sex crime? Well, when you get out of jail you are immediately put on a flight back to your home country. You are then free to file all the appeals you are entitled to from back home. And, in the unlikely event that it turns out you shouldn’t have been deported for some reason, you are then free to come back to the U.S. Heck, we’ll send you a ticket.

But you don’t get to hang around in the U.S. filing appeals for why you shouldn’t be deported for your sex crime and committing more sex crimes.

Does this make sense?

By the way, over half of Border Patrol agents are Hispanic. Biden’s mindless knee jerk condemnation of BP agents doing their duty regarding black aliens isn’t going to help him among traditionally Democratic Rio Grande Valley Hispanic-Americans, who already surged toward Trump last year, after a year in which Democrats decided that blacks are Black and Latinos are Latinx.

David Cole is one of those geniuses who can write about deadly serious things without sounding deadly serious.
