❤️ Draco Malfoy was walking down the Hogwarts corridor when he heard raised voices. Peering around the corner, he saw several Slytherin boys had Calia Arcadia, a Muggle born Gryffindor, cornered. Draco felt a pang in his chest as he looked at her, remembered how he had been secretly and sincerely in love with her for more than three years now.

He marched over to the group, keeping his face straight and adopting an air of superiority. "What's going on here?" He asked gruffly.

One of the boys answered snidely, "We were just teaching this Mudblood a lesson about keeping away from our kind."

Draco rolled his eyes and shot them a glare of contempt. "You don't need to teach her any lessons," He replied sternly. Turning to Calia, he softened his voice but still spoke coldly, "You'd better be off then; I don't want to find you near us again."

Calia gave him a small nod and hastily made her escape while Draco watched until she had gone out of sight. Once she was gone, he slowly turned back towards the boys and gave them a curt nod before walking off down the hallway. As his heart thumped wildly against his chest, he began to regret not saying something more - anything that might have given him some kind of closure. After all, if this were his only chance to talk to Calia, then what kind of coward had he been for simply letting her walk away?

But there was nothing else for it now. Draco put on his mask of bravado and resumed walking down the corridor - leaving his feelings behind him like forgotten shadows in the moonlight.

"Is that, you? What are you doing here?"

Just happened to be passing by. What are you doing all alone in this forest?

Passing through, especially in this pouring rain?

(Wide-eyed, glancing between you and your hand)

(Still holding my hand out, waiting for you to take it.)

(Carefully taking your hand, blushing slightly)

(Leading the way back to the castle.) Did you know it's not safe to be in this forest alone, especially on a rainy night like this?

Y-yes, I was... (Paused, a bit embarrassed) I got lost in my thoughts and didn't realize where I was heading. Thanks for— (Blushing and struggling to find the right words) —passing by and helping me out.
