Excerpts from Ambassador Gennady Gatilov’s statement during a press briefing following the IX BTWC RevCon:
🤝 We consider the RevCon as a chance to bring the international community together around a pragmatic, non-discriminatory and future-oriented agenda.
🇷🇺 During the RevCon Russia has presented a number of specific initiatives aimed at strengthening the Convention. Among them:
🔹 Establishment of an Open-ended Working Group to develop measures and proposals to strengthen the BTWC;
🔹 Creation of mobile bio-medical units under BTWC to assist in case of use of biological weapons and in combating infectious diseases of various origins;
🔹 Establishment of a mechanism to investigate alleged violation of BTWC obligations under its Article 6.
❗️ Despite the Western determination to hush up the biological and military activities of the US and its allies outside national territories, we won’t let it happen. We will continue seeking answers to the issues and questions we had raised.

🗓️ 18 декабря 1967 года - ровно 55 лет назад - приняты постановления Президиума ЦК КПСС и Совета министров СССР о преобразовании Постоянного представительства СССР при МАГАТЭ в Постоянное представительство СССР при международных организациях в Вене
📸 По этому случаю мы впервые публикуем фотографии из личного архива выдающегося советского дипломата, одного из первых (в период с 1975 по 1979 гг.) Постоянных представителей СССР при международных организациях в Вене Владимира Ивановича Ерофеева
📷 На этих уникальных кадрах можно увидеть В.И.Ерофеева в компании Вячеслава Михайловича Молотова и Пабло Пикассо

🗓️ On December 18, 1967 - exactly 55 years ago - the decisions of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR on the transformation of the Permanent Mission of the USSR to the IAEA into the Permanent Mission of the USSR to the International Organizations in Vienna were adopted
📸 On this occasion, for the first time, we are publishing photographs from the personal archive of an outstanding Soviet diplomat, one of the first (between 1975 and 1979) Permanent Representatives of the USSR to the International Organizations in Vienna Vladimir Erofeev
📷 On these unique shots he can be seen in the company of Vyacheslav Molotov and Pablo Picasso

📌На исходе 2022 года мы отмечаем важный юбилей – 60-летие образования Венской и Австрийской епархии Русской Православной Церкви. Наши приходы в Вене и других городах Альпийской республики уже давно стали важным местом притяжения и духовного окормления для представителей большой русскоязычной общины, независимо от страны происхождения. А главный Кафедральный собор Святителя Николая, построенный в 1893-1899 гг. буквально на русской земле комплекса Посольства России в Австрии, за прошедшие годы превратился в неотъемлемую часть венского культурного наследия.
🔹Именно поэтому сегодня, в символичный день Престольного праздника Никольского храма, Посольство решило преподнести епархии особенный подарок. В продолжение нашего виртуального экскурсионного проекта мы разместили в Интернете 3D-тур по Собору Святителя Николая, чтобы сделать его еще доступнее и дать возможность всем желающим познакомиться с его замечательным убранством и святынями.
🎉Поздравляем всех австрийских православных верующих с этим знаменательным юбилеем!
🔹Именно поэтому сегодня, в символичный день Престольного праздника Никольского храма, Посольство решило преподнести епархии особенный подарок.
