✍️ President Vladimir Putin sent condolences to President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the tragic accident at a coal mine in the province of Bartin.

The President of Russia asked to convey his words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the dead miners and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

▪️ Ежедневно в лагерь поступало до шести эшелонов, по 2000 человек в каждом – взрослые, старики, дети. Большинство прибывших уничтожали в день приезда. Газовая камера, прозванная среди узников "баней", вмещала в себя до 800 человек и уничтожала загнанных в нее людей за 15 минут.

▪️ Красноармеец Александр Печерский вместе с сыном польского раввина Леоном Фельдхендлером смогли подготовить и возглавить восстание в лагере. Узники смогли смять буквально голыми руками охрану, в нескольких местах прорвать ограждение с колючей проволокой и бежать через минное поле. Часть из них была поймана, но выжившие смогли рассказать свою историю миру.

📅 On October 14, 1943, the uprising at the #Sobibor death camp (Poland) took place.

It was the only successful mass escape from a Nazi concentration camp.

▪️ Every day, up to six echelons arrived at the camp, 2000 people in each - adults, old people, children. Most arrived were killed on the day of arrival. The gas chamber, nicknamed the "bath" among the prisoners, could accommodate up to 800 people.

▪️ Red Army officer Alexander Pechersky, together with the son of a Polish rabbi, Leon Feldhendler, managed to prepare and lead an uprising in the camp. The prisoners managed to kill the guards literally with bare hands. In some places barbed wire fence were broken, so people were able to escaped through the minefield. Some of them were caught, but the survivors found their history of the world.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 16-17 октября в Москве состоялся очередной раунд консультаций заместителя Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Вершинина с привлечением заинтересованных российских ведомств, компаний и делегации ООН с участием Генерального секретаря Конференции ООН по торговле и развитию (#ЮНКТАД) Р.Гринспан и заместителя Генерального секретаря ООН по гуманитарным вопросам, координатором чрезвычайной помощи М.Гриффитса.

👉 Состоялся развёрнутый обмен мнениями по вопросам реализации «зерновой сделки», предложенной Генсекретарём ООН А.Гутеррешем в интересах преодоления кризисных явлений в сфере глобальной продовольственной безопасности.

С акцентом на «пакетный» характер достигнутых в Стамбуле 22 июля договорённостей подчёркивалась важность обеспечения их полного и взаимоувязанного выполнения – «черноморской инициативы» по вывозу украинского продовольствия (истекает 18 ноября) и российско-ооновского Меморандума по нормализации отечественного экспорта удобрений и сельхозпродукции (рассчитан на 3 года).

🇷🇺🇺🇳 Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin held consultations with the participation of Russian stakeholder agencies and companies and a UN delegation that included UNCTAD Secretary General Rebeca Grynspan and UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths in Moscow on October 16-17.

An in-depth exchange of views was held concerning the implementation of the grain deal proposed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in the interest of overcoming the global food security crisis.

The sides underscored the importance of ensuring full and reciprocal implementation of the Black Sea Initiative on Ukrainian food exports, as well as the Russia-UN Memorandum of Understanding on promoting Russian food products and fertilisers to the world markets.

☝️ The Russian side emphasised the importance of establishing sustainable fertiliser and grain supplies primarily to the African, Asian and Latin American countries.
