🇷🇺 The Russian Federation at the IAEA Board of Governors:

💬 Despite US postulated readiness for talks with DPRK, there’s been no practical steps in this direction in a while. Instead of normalizing relations, building trust and discussing DPRK security guarantees, US increases its regional presence

💬 Of serious concern is the January 11 statement of the President of the Republic of Korea that Seoul is considering to develop its own nuclear arsenal or to return US nuclear arms on its territory. Both options contradict NPT spirit and letter

💬 DPRK needs practical stimula to get to the negotiations table. Constructive steps taken by Pyongyang should be reciprocated with sanctions lifting, as foreseen by UNSC resolutions that aren’t being implemented because of Western Board of Governors’ members

💬 Несмотря на показную готовность США к переговорам с КНДР, никаких практических шагов с их стороны не наблюдается. Вместо нормализации отношений, построения доверия и обсуждения с КНДР гарантий безопасности, США наращивают присутствие в регионе

💬 Удивление и тревогу вызывает заявление президента Республики Корея от 11 января о возможной разработке Сеулом ядерного потенциала или возвращения на Корейсий полуостров ядерных вооружений США. Это противоречит духу и букве ДНЯО

💬 КНДР нужны практические стимулы для вовлечения в переговоры. Необходимо отвечать на ее конструктивные действия постепенным ослаблением санкций, как предусмотрено резолюциями Совета Безопасности ООН, не выполняющихся в полной мере из-за западных членов Совета

💬 Only one thing is required from Kiev – to confirm that the AFU will cease shelling of this peaceful nuclear facility
