❗️ Сегодня очередная, 81-я годовщина трагедии в Бабьем Яру. 29-30 сентября в урочище в северо-западной части Киева 1941 года фашистские оккупанты и коллаборанты расстреляли 33 771 человека
- почти все еврейское население города.
▪️ Бабий Яр – наиболее печально известное место Холокоста на Украине, которое часто упоминается в одном ряду с Освенцимом и Биркенау. 29 сентября 1941 года евреев Киева собрали в одном месте, отвезли к краю оврага и одного за другим расстреляли.
▪️ Ответственной за массовые убийства была зондеркоманда 4a, входившая в состав айнзацгруппы C. Её руководитель Пауль Блобель был осужден и казнен во время Нюрнбергских судебных процессов. Вспомогательная полиция, состоящая из украинских националистов также участвовала в казни евреев.
▪️ В период с 1941 по 1943 годы в этом месте были убиты свыше 120 тысяч человек - главным образом евреи, цыгане, поляки и советские военнопленные. Массовые казни продолжались вплоть до освобождения Киева Красной Армией в ноябре 1943 года.

▪️ Babi Yar is the most tragic Holocaust location in Ukraine. It is often mentioned alongside Auschwitz and Birkenau. On September 29, 1941, the Jews in Kiev were all gathered in one place, taken to the edge of a ravine and shot, one after another.
▪️ Sonderkommando 4a, part of Einsatzgruppe C, was responsible for the massacre. The commander, Paul Blobel, was convicted at the Nuremberg Trials and then executed. Auxiliary police comprising Ukrainian nationalists also took part in murdering Jews.
▪️ Overall, from 1941 to 1943, over 120,000 people were killed in this place. They were mostly Jews, Roma, Poles and Soviet POWs. The mass executions continued until the Red Army liberated Kiev in November 1943.
