Mr. Biazatti specializes in international criminal law, human rights, and Latin American perspectives in international law, with research focused on crimes against humanity and Latin America’s role in international codification. He has also served as a legal adviser at the Brazilian Supreme Court and the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN.

Prof. Scharf is the Associate Dean for Global Legal Studies at Case Western Reserve University and Managing Director of the Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize–nominated NGO. With vast experience from the U.S. Department of State to the Cambodia Genocide Tribunal, he is one of the world’s leading voices in international criminal law and foreign policy.
Ms. Jaramillo Gomez, Project Leader at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, has devoted her work to advancing justice through international criminal law projects, with a strong focus on sexual and gender-based violence and conflict-related sexual violence.
