BNB Chain is preparing for the Luban upgrade, scheduled to take place at block 29,020,050 on June 12th.

Luban will implement 3 proposals: BEP-126, BEP-174, and BEP-221:

- BEP-126: Introduces a mechanism to ensure that transactions cannot be modified, reversed, or cancelled after they have been completed.

- BEP-174: Adds an additional layer of security to minimize the risks from cross-chain bridge hacks (BNB Chain's bridge was previously hacked for $586M).

- BEP-221: Improves data transmission efficiency and reduces costs between blockchains, such as between BNB Greenfield and BNB Chain.

All these upgrades aim to enhance the security, performance, and stability of the BNB Chain network.
