Cobalt blue glass bracelet, from a private collection in the Netherlands. It is dated to the 3rd century B.C. and said to have come from the burial of a Gallic noblewoman somewhere in the Balkans.

I am so proud to present a 5 part series (nearly 2 hours of material) that Martijn has made for our Youtube channel with great dedication for the spirituality of our ancestors. The Ironwood, Muspelheim, Ginnungagap, Helheim, Niflheim, these are just a few terms that come up. From the beginning to the end you will be taken in these worlds, collectively called 'Undirheimar' or the underworlds. Martijn has studied these worlds, but has also experienced them to a large extent. I actually think this series is a complete course in which you learn a lot for free in a short time. I think it's good to share this series as much as possible among your heathen friends and other interested people. It brings you closer to the faith of your ancestors. Curious? Here is part 1 of the 5

Trees have seen many things rain and snow, birth and death, kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall, yet the thing they look forward to most much like us are the simple things like the rising of the sun. Are You Tough Enough for Hyperborean Radio (Uncensored)?

Blóðughófi,
Blóðughófi meaning "Bloody hoof" is the name of the horse owned by the Slayer of Beli, Freyr.
In Skírnismál, Freyr gives Skírnir a horse able to run through fire to ride on to Jötunheimr to woo Gerðr.
The animal is mentioned in a verse from the fragmentary poem Kálfsvísa, and quoted by Snorri Sturluson in Skáldskaparmál.
The name also appears in a list of horses enumerated in the Rhymes of Þorgrímr:
"Blódughófi hight a horse that they said beareth the strength-eminent Atridi;"

After several times trancejourneying to Fenris and Jormundgandr i came to appreciate them more and more. So i made two depictions of them for my altar. After all, i am an Ironwood guy. I prefer not to buy things for the altar so i used cardboard to draw on. The stand is made from teapackage. By making it yourself it's it is your energy in your altar🙂

I’ve lived in Florida ever since my family and I moved to USA from Russia back in 1994. All these years, and I still cannot get use to all that intense heat, and extreme humidity. People always bring up a question, how did people live in Florida during the hot seasons before the invention of air conditioner? I say, they did it by staying under the canopy of tall trees that shaded them, protected them from sun’s heat. Just a few centuries ago large parts of the land if not most of them were covered in forests. If you ever walk outside on a very hot day, and come across the shade of the tree, get under the tree into the shaded area, and you will see how much relief you get from the sun. You will immediately see how much cooler the temperature feels under the tree. The wonderful, cool shade that the trees provide for us during the hot season, is just one of the many reasons why I love the trees so much.
The shading of the trees is one way our ancestors stayed cool during hot summers, but another thing is how they designed their homes, and other buildings, as well as the materials they used to build with. They designed their homes foe breeze tp come through the rooms, for the air to circulate through the house.

Last weekend we celebrated Midzomer with our Dutch fellow heathens from Swesaz. The 9 herbs and 9 kinds of wood have gone into this fire as an offering. The days are getting shorter and we hope for a good time of harvest.
It was a wonderful weekend full of celebrations, honoring the ancient traditions of our ancestors, good food, drinks and warm conversations.

I feel you in the rain on my face,
in the force of the wind,
in the cold the mud, the rough bark.
I see you in the footsteps of the wild,
in the movement of the clouds,
in the stream of the brook
and the dew on the grass.
I hear you in the cry of the wolf,
the rolling of thunder,
and the beating of my heart.
Love, life,
animated in everything.

A simple altar to meditate or connect with a specific deity. I take the image of the deity from my main altar and put it on a sheet of leather that has a nice labyrint on it. I just sit in front of it on a meditationcushion and breathing relaxed. My eyes relaxed looking at the image with a question in mind. Just listening to the god or goddess for answers. Not losing myself in thinking. Just listening....
