25,000 Toncoin is up for grabs on the Huobi Global crypto exchange.

The Open Network and Huobi are revealing more of their massive joint promo campaign. Today, the exchange is starting CandyDrop Toncoin, where participants can win 25,000 Toncoin by meeting specific requirements.

Moreover, five randomly selected participants will win the CandyDrop Lucky Star worth 100 Tether (USDT).

How to participate in the contest

To be eligible for the CandyDrop, a user’s average trade volume for the TON/USDT pair over the past three days must be at least 300 USDT.

To put it differently, your total volume over the three days must be no less than 300 USDT. For example, you can make two trades for 150 USDT today, and tomorrow, you can make one for 300 USDT and qualify for CandyDrop.

What’s important is that the average of your trading volume over the three days equals 100 USDT or more.

If your average trading volume meets the criterion, you will qualify for a chance to win 25,000 Toncoin. The winners will be randomly selected.

We’ve put together a simple guide explaining how to register for the CandyDrop Toncoin:
https://telegra.ph/CandyDrop-Toncoin-on-crypto-exchange-Huobi-Global-09-08

You can find more information on the event and prize distributions on Huobi’s site:
https://www.huobi.com/support/en-us/detail/104916925216638

Attention:

The event is only accessible through Huobi’s mobile application. Registrations will be open until Sept. 10 at 15:00 (UTC).
Announcing a trading contest on Huobi Global with a total prize pool of 20,000 Toncoin.

We’re excited to announce the start of another event on the Huobi Global crypto exchange for The Open Network blockchain enthusiasts.

You can participate in a trading contest and win a cut of the 20,000-Toncoin prize fund by trading Toncoin.

How to participate in the contest:

1. Create an account on the Huobi Global crypto exchange and complete at least two stages of the verification process. We explain how to do so in the Huobi staking guide we’ve put together.

2. From Sept. 9 to 16 at 4:00 (UTC), trade a minimum of 67 Toncoin in the TON/USDT trading pair.

How the funds from the prize pool will be distributed:

The 20 traders who have the biggest trading volume will share 9,700 Toncoin.

The remaining 10,300 Toncoin of the prize pool will go to those who fulfill the minimum requirement of trading 67 Toncoin.

Winners will receive their Toncoin prize automatically as soon as the contest closes.

Please note:

The size of the prize depends on the volume of the trade: the bigger the trade, the bigger the prize.

You can find more details on the prize distribution model and the event here:

DEXs on The Open Network.

Decentralized finance (DeFi) on The Open Network continues to grow. Currently, there are a few decentralized exchanges (DEXs) in the ecosystem where you can exchange Toncoin for other tokens.

These platforms are in different stages of development, however. Some are still in the testnet phase, while others have already launched on the mainnet and are ready for users.

Today, we’ll tell you about a few of these DEXs based on TON.

Please note: The TON Foundation and TON Community have no affiliations with the projects mentioned below. They have not undergone a technical audit, meaning the quality of each project is still unknown. We urge everyone to be careful when interacting with projects in early-stage development.

STON.fi.

This is a DEX that’s launched on the mainnet.

The platform sets itself apart because it’s slated to be the first to list Fanzee’s token, FNZ. (We’ve already discussed the Fanzee project and its upcoming IDO on the Tonstarter launchpad.)

STON.fi is a fully functional TON-based DEX where users can already make transactions with their Toncoin.

Tegro TON.

The DEX from Tegro is currently in the testnet version, and the project’s team is actively working on putting the finishing touches before launching on the mainnet.

To participate in the testnet trials, you must go through wallet verification via the Tegro TON Bot, with prizes to be won by testers.

Tegro TON has also recently launched a bug bounty program that offers rewards to those who find vulnerabilities in Tegro.Finance.

TonSwap Bot.

This decentralized exchange has open-source code and a web bot interface in Telegram. It’s currently in beta testing.

The project’s team plans on making a few popular cryptocurrencies available, such as Wrapped BTC, Wrapped ETH, and Wrapped USDC. It will also let users become liquidity providers in the future.

Ozys.io.

The team at Ozys, a DeFi infrastructure provider in South Korea with over 40 in-house developers, is also working on its own DEX.

The TON Alphanonce-VistaLabs fund announced the TON Ecosystem Builders (TEB), an organization overseeing integrations with TON.

TEB has announced a partnership with Ozys. The company is experienced in developing bridges and DEXs with a total value locked (TVL) north of $600 million on various blockchains.

Ozys plans on launching its DEX in October or November.

The DeFi sector on TON is barely nascent, which means trading activity is only going to intensify as more DEXs make their way to the mainnet.

Meanwhile, new tokens constantly pop up on TON, with DEXs likewise appearing that are ready to list them.

We’re anticipating DEXs to ramp up their efforts to operate at full capacity shortly and prepare themselves for the many new tokens vying to be listed for trading.

We’re proud to inform you that the TON Community blog is available on CoinMarketCap, one of the world’s biggest crypto resource platforms.

The blog will publish the most exciting TON news, articles covering the blockchain’s components, and important announcements.

This is a boon for the TON Community because CoinMarketCap’s audience comprises seasoned DeFi users and blockchain enthusiasts. Exposing the network to such a demographic will indeed cause a stir and attract new users to The Open Network.

In light of this exciting news, we’d like you to subscribe to the TON Community blog on CoinMarketCap by clicking on this link, signing in, and clicking on “Follow.”
Conor McGregor posted a video with a hidden Easter egg of the TON blockchain.

Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor tweeted an animated video in which a reference to The Open Network could be seen twice, the famous TON diamond from the official site ton.org.

The video also contains other hidden Easter eggs of well-known crypto services and projects, including CoinMarketCap, Polygon, Mercuryo, Web3Auth, and others.

We’re stoked that among the video’s creators are TON blockchain fans, but we’ll tease you a bit by saying this newsworthy story may continue.

You can find McGregor’s tweet here, but Telegram users can view the video here:

Toncoin perpetual swaps are available on the crypto exchange Bit.com.

Today at 10:00 (UTC), the Bit.com crypto exchange launched Toncoin perpetual swap trading.

Bit.com joins FTX as the only two platforms to offer perpetual swaps with the TON-native cryptocurrency.

However, Gate.io also offers perpetual Toncoin swaps, but in its wrapped version.

We’re pleased to know that Toncoin trading is expanding; however, perpetual swaps are geared toward more advanced traders, so we recommend beginners to be extra careful when engaging with this instrument.
Freelancers will be able to receive pay in Toncoin for work through the MadeTask service.

We’re happy to inform you that MadeTask, a payments service for worldwide freelancers, has integrated the Toncoin cryptocurrency.

Now, remote workers will be able to withdraw their salaries in the form of TON while staying compliant with the law.

How does it work?

MadeTask is a platform where companies and thousands of freelancers collaborate safely and transparently.

The two sides agree on a price or rate for a task — e.g., $100 for a project.

Once the task is completed, the $100 is added to the freelancer’s balance on the platform, and they can choose to withdraw it in rubles, dollars, euros, or Toncoin.

This method allows freelancers who wish to avoid using traditional finance avenues to receive their pay anonymously in the form of crypto.

Because of this, companies will be able to expand the pool of remote workers to those who prefer payments in crypto over transfers to bank cards or electronic wallets, such as PayPal.

Toncoin continues to make us proud by finding new ways to serve people in their everyday lives.

There are already thousands of freelancers from 90 countries worldwide who work with MadeTask.

Of course, Toncoin’s integration into MadeTask’s platform will be a crucial step toward mass adoption of the TON blockchain.
From Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, there will be an offline Hack-a-TONx for TON developers in Prague with a total prize pool of $37,000 in Toncoin.

The team of TON enthusiasts behind Tonana DeFi Hub, which has developed products for the TON ecosystem and received a grant to build a crosschain bridge, is hosting the event.

The event is independent and supported by the TON Foundation, with participation from TON-based projects, such as Tonstarter, TON Play, Getgems, TWA Dev Community, Tonkeeper, StickerFace, and TON Society.

Representatives from well-known teams will give lectures before the contest, serve as the jury, help newcomers integrate into and network with the Prague TON community, and bring them into the world of TON developers.

You can register for the Hack-a-TONx Prague here:

Tonkeeper now supports TON DNS and has made its code open-source.

The first half of September saw Tonkeeper achieve two major milestones.

Firstly, the crypto wallet app released an update that simplifies user interaction with TON DNS. Now, you can assign your domain names to any TON address — either your personal wallet or any other address — directly within the mobile app. Another new function also allows users to create an address book.

Secondly, the Tonkeeper team has made its source code public, making the app’s development process fully transparent. In other words, any user can go to the wallet’s GitHub, examine the code (in search of vulnerabilities, for example), pose questions, and make suggestions.

These two moments are a crucial step forward for The Open Network’s most popular crypto wallet. The Tonkeeper team shares more details in a separate article:

Telegram's references to TON

It has been a while since Telegram shut down Gram, a cryptocurrency based on the Telegram Open Network blockchain. For more than a year, Telegram's legacy stayed under deep water until Pavel Durov decided to transfer original repositories to the developer community in late 2021. With the new Telegram updates, including full-screen and video emojis, and emoji statuses, the number of references to Toncoin (or Gram?) continued increasing.

In 2021, Telegram kicked off a new update that added video calls and, more importantly, animated emojis. Over the last year, the messenger app constantly implemented more and more animated emojis. Once there was added 👛 (click on it to see in full-size) that featured Toncoin's symbol. Later appeared 💱 that showed the process of changing fiat currency to TON.

Telegram did not limit itself to making allusions to TON on build-in emojis and, with the recent 9.0 update, rolled out the emoji pack with different icons related to the messenger app. Among dozens of emojis, there was one everyone knows — 💎.

Moreover, Telegram designers usually create fancy illustrations for every major update. And, interestingly, they sometimes depict Toncoin's image — a diamond. In the last picture, you can see the diamond lying on the ground to the right of the house. Earlier, the brilliant appeared with the 8.5 update on a table in the laboratory.

It is still unknown why the Telegram team continues to feature either their abandoned project or spiritual successor (it depends on your attitude to these references). However, we believe we will get more answers as soon as June 2023 approaches, alongside the end of prohibiting the integration of cryptocurrencies based on Gram.

The TON Test Challenge has started!

A few days ago, the TON Test Challenge, a competition for QA engineers, kicked off with a total prize pool of $50,000 in Toncoin.

The event’s main task is to find critical bugs or vulnerabilities in popular TON services, such as Tonkeeper, Tonhub, Getgems, Tonscan, Disintar, Juston, Tegro, and others.

It’s worth mentioning that the TON Foundation is interested in professional testers and is prepared to make job offers to the event’s best contestants.

Therefore, we want as many QA engineers to participate!

You can find more details on the competition here:
https://ton.org/ton-test-challenge

We also want to remind you that the TON Design Challenge has been extended and will close on Sept. 30. More information can be found in this post.

Beware: Scammers are popping up.

Unfortunately, we must report to you today that some users have fallen victim to scams lately.

Scammers usually stick to one of two attack vectors:

1. They send a spam transaction of an insignificant sum — e.g., 0.000001 TON — and include a message enticing unsuspecting users to partake in an “official” Toncoin contest or airdrop.

For users to collect their “prize,” the scammers request users send Toncoin or direct them to a phishing site that looks exactly like the real official site ton.org.

Please examine the website’s URL before clicking on a link or going to the site.

2. Another method scammers use is inviting users to participate in various “official” contests, competitions, and events directly on Telegram and other social media.

Here, they use exact copies of different sites and services, including wallet addresses, from the TON ecosystem.

Remember that the project’s official site is ton.org, and you can find a comprehensive list of TON-based wallets in this section: ton.org/wallets

We also recommend you brush up on our rules for digital safety.
Where to buy Toncoin

Here’s an updated roundup of the different ways to obtain the Toncoin cryptocurrency.

Via Telegram:

▪️ The @wallet bot is the easiest way to buy Toncoin.

Via centralized exchanges (CEXs):

▪️ MEXC: Spot trading is available in the TON/USDT pair.
▪️ Huobi Global: Spot trading is available in the TON/USDT pair.
▪️ FTX: The TONCOIN/USD pair is available for spot trading and perpetual futures contracts.

Via decentralized exchanges (DEXs):

▪️ Uniswap: Swap for Toncoin on the world’s biggest DEX.

▪️ Biswap: Another prominent DEX.

We recommend people store their Toncoin in non-custodial crypto wallets.

We’ve written about the different ways to store Toncoin here, and you can find a complete list of TON-based crypto wallets here.
Toncoin has entered the top 50 cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap.

We’re proud to deliver you some fantastic news. CoinMarketCap has concluded its analysis of Toncoin’s market capitalization, raising Toncoin’s ranking to 34th, with a market value of over $1.7 billion and daily trading volume exceeding $20 million.

We are thrilled that the TON blockchain’s native cryptocurrency is ranked so high globally.

We also want to remind you that the TON Community blog is available on CoinMarketCap, and you can subscribe to it by clicking on this link, signing in, and clicking on “Follow.”

What is an IDO?

As you remember, the first IDO in the TON ecosystem is coming up very soon. In this regard, let us remind you what IDO is and what its stages are.

IDO (initial dex offering)—is the opportunity to buy tokens of the project before its appearance on the decentralized exchanges at a fixed price.

1. IDO Announcement
Everything begins with an announcement: prospective investors get acquainted with the project and its team and decide whether it is worth investing in it. It is important at this stage to analyze the project: study the product, the team, and its investors; check what they write about it in the media.

2. Open registration for a token sale

If the project seems interesting, the investor can apply for participation in a token sale. At this stage, it is possible to get the right to redeem the tokens at a reduced price before they are listed on the exchange. Allocations are a limited number of tokens that can be redeemed by a single investor. Buying rights are usually distributed by lottery.

3. Token Sale Day
Investors who are given the opportunity to redeem an allocation can purchase project tokens at a fixed price on the Launchpad. This can be compared to the pre-sale mechanics of NFT collections, where a limited number of users can buy the token they are interested in. Joining the project at this stage is a profitable opportunity to invest in the project before it appears on DEX.

4. Listing the project on DEX for free trading
As soon as the token price goes on DEX, the price of the token goes into free float. At this point every Toncoin holder can buy or sell the project's tokens. Prospective project tokens are usually in high demand, which causes the market price to rise actively from the start of trading.

Be aware of the risks when investing in projects: investments can lead to a total loss of money. No project can promise you instant profits. Do not forget this.
