Paracelsus said "Every substance contains all four elements in varying proportions". Here we explore this idea by looking at the problems with the periodic table, the constitution of common substances like wood, metal and glass, as well as the human soul itself. We look at how the periodic table was altered from it's original conception, and how abolishing the aether marked the death of true science. We get into the planetary metals, the Halogens, Phlogiston theory, and the process by which minerals are exalted into crystals and metals. We revisit the humour system of the body, and talk about bananas and potassium as an example of the fallacies of atomic thinking. Finally we discuss what this all means for the supplement industry.
