Human rights organization Amnesty International has defended its choice to use an AI image generator to create fake pictures to depict protests and police brutality in Colombia, which it portrays as photos. They say they wanted to protect the anonymity of protestors.

They did label the pictures, so it is not really a big deal, but this might be the first instance of this happening so here it is for archive purposes. However, the very reason they included the images rather than just posting the text is because they understand the power of imagery, so they can hardly claim innocence.

Soon we will have entirely fabricated historical events presented as fact, which we have already of course, but it will be much worse, and it will be used to implicate all enemies of the regime. It will be the biggest flood of anti-white propaganda you can imagine, and the images will be printed in history books.
