Dear Friends, Neighbour's, and Defenders of Innocence, In Niagara, 2025 has brought unimaginable horrors to our children a crisis that demands our collective action. A three-year-old girl, barely able to form words, was brutally assaulted in her own home by a repeat predator who broke in, choked her, and left her fighting for life in a hospital bed. This is not an isolated tragedy. Predators like Todd Douglas Williston, a 53-year-old school bus driver, exploited 16 children over decades, forcing them into unspeakable acts. Others, like Darren R. Fox, Robert Caverly, and Ivo Ivanov, have lurked online and in trusted spaces, preying on children as young as eight. A March sting operation exposed eight more predators, while Justin Murray Wayne Lee and Thalia Rachelle Hiscoe orchestrated an 18-year rampage of child exploitation. Most recently, Daniel Senecal, a convicted abuser, was released only to strike again, leaving our community reeling.
Enough is enough. Niagara’s children are under siege, their innocence stolen by those who should protect them. But we, the people of Niagara, are rising up with fierce determination. When police concealed Senecal’s identity and officials remained silent, we took to the streets. Our rallies and candlelit vigils forced city hall to act, compelling mayors and councillors to face the public or face shame. Our pressure drove Welland’s mayor to demand action from Premier Doug Ford himself. This is the power of our community united—and now, we need YOU to join this movement to protect our children and end child sexual abuse.
