""Follow the science,” that pesky little meme, has followed us like a bad dream throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Those in favor of prolonged restrictions latch onto the phrase to justify their positions. Skeptics retort that science isn’t a completed edifice, a church where we gather to worship, but a constantly evolving body of knowledge.

Still others, like Drs. Marty Makary and Tracy Hoeg in a July 2022 guest article for Bari Weiss, point out that the slogan often serves as a cover for following the party line. They call out the FDA and CDC for making public health decisions based on “what’s politically palatable to people in Washington,” rather than good science."

"It’s been some time since I’ve found the motivation to blog given recent world events. These events have inevitably made me feel I have little to add to current human thought patterns. What can I possibly say that would make any sense, and what topic could be meaningful in light of events that are harming our human population as a whole? I have been rendered speechless for quite some time. Acts of violence on innocent people quickly drape a dark veil of helplessness amongst us. Eventually, I had to reframe my life in terms of events I had no control over and begin living in a new way, unclouded by random terror. Slowly, I found a way."

🎙NEW PODCAST EPISODE

I always say: if you cannot explain with facts and clarity why you oppose something, you are not going to be able to help others question things for themselves very well.

I see very often that within the conversation of The Great Reset, people can easily say Klaus is a psychopath or these people are all bad, but struggle to make a good and clear argument as to why they don't support TGR and what they'd support instead.

The Great Reset (TGR) is touching on a felt intuition many people share: our systems are in deep need of an overhaul. The question is: shouldn’t we all have a say over the direction we head?

Within this conversation of a new society is the advancement of technology and how it is re-shaping what’s possible. TGR is presenting somewhat of a transhumanistic future. And in this sense people are becoming afraid of technology and where it could lead. But at the same time, technology being embraced in our future seems a necessity to take care of repetitive tasks and give us more time to do what we love. Will our fear of tech hold us back? Do we know how to resist the Great Reset – Or only insult its creators?

"On Wednesday, Elon Musk stated that Twitter interfered with elections. In response to a report from Reuters about Twitter’s move to free speech under Musk, he replied that “The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections. Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.”

Believe it or not this was struck down by YouTube before I even published it!

People may not know but humans are rarely involved in the process of removing content on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. It's largely an AI driven process.

In this case, this balanced piece was removed resulting in a 2 week ban for us here at The Pulse.

This is the larger problem with AI and tech running censorship: it's going to make mistakes constantly, and there is nothing we can do about it.

These companies should not be attempting to tackle "misinformation" because they cannot possibly do a good job of it.

"As I stated in the last Modern Philosophy article, the Academy of Ideas (AOI) had a video breaking down the characteristics of a successful life. With quiet quitting (and now quiet firing) occurring in today’s workforce, it’s evident that many of us aren’t finding success in living a successful life. The term “quiet quitting” refers to people who put no more effort into their jobs than absolutely necessary.

In today’s article, I’ll highlight the AOI video and the tenants of a successful life. In future articles, we’ll explore the individual tenants more in-depth, but today, we’re simply reviewing what a successful life – aka your best life – looks like."

Are people truly aware of the extent to which this happens? For example, in 2012, the NEJM published 73 articles on original studies of new drugs, which represented drugs approved by the FDA since 2000.

It was found that 82 percent of them had been funded by the pharmaceutical company selling the product, and 68 percent of them had authors who were employees of that company.

Finally, it was found that 50 percent had lead researchers who accepted money from a drug company.

A very thought provoking piece here. Please read before commenting.

"The men and women of Germany in the 1930s and 40s were not unlike Americans in the 2010s and 20s—or the people of any nation at any time throughout history. They are human, just as we are human. And as humans, we have a great tendency to harshly judge the evils of other societies but fail to recognize our own moral failures—failures that have been on full display the past two years during the covid panic."

"Sweden never closed primary schools and Denmark and Norway had brief, transient closures; they never masked children under 12 and free childcare was always available. Children always had a safe place to go throughout the pandemic. Disruptions to normalcy were minimized."

A recent poll conducted by Elon Musk asked, “Should Assange and Snowden be pardoned?” The answer was an overwhelming yes, with 80.5 percent of approximately 3.3 million people voting.

“How far have we sunk if telling the truth becomes a crime? How far have we sunk if we prosecute people that expose war crimes for exposing war crimes? How far have we sunk when we no longer prosecute our own war criminals? Because we identify more with them, than we identify with the people that actually expose these crimes. What does that tell about us and about our governments? In a democracy, the power does not belong to the government, but to the people. But the people have to claim it. Secrecy disempowers the people because it prevents them from exercising democratic control, which is precisely why governments want secrecy.”- Nilz Melzer

"Shortly after people began dying from the COVID-19 virus in early 2020, virologist Danielle Anderson began attacking media accounts that questioned if the pandemic could have started in a lab in Wuhan, China.

In a fact check for Health Feedback, Anderson repudiated a New York Post article that questioned if the “coronavirus may have leaked from a lab” claiming it was false to label the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) a bioweapons research lab, while adding that the Post article was “appalling.” This censorial fact check helped limit the audience for the Post article on social media—but then, less than a year later, Anderson’s claims fell apart when the State Department declassified information on the WIV’s ties to military research and Facebook ceased censoring statements that COVID-19 was man-made or manufactured.

Unpersuaded by facts, Anderson stuck to her story, making a media splash throughout the summer of 2021 as the “last—and only—foreign scientist in Wuhan” and the victim of an online harassment campaign by “conspiracy theorists.” Anderson’s tale of online persecution then made its way into a Nature Magazine article last October that went on to win a journalism award.

There is, however, a glaring omission from the media’s portrayal of Anderson as brave truth speaker. None of the fact checks or news stories disclose that her name has appeared on multiple grants for projects aiming to manipulate coronaviruses, including a National Institutes of Health award to Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, and a grant that was rejected by the U.S. military research agency DARPA, in part for risky gain of function research."

Pfizer has been billions in criminal convictions, civil penalties and jury awards and has set records for both criminal fines and total penalties.

Multiple fraudulent marketing practices were used to promote various drugs that were not effective and also toxic and harmful to health.

Scientism has been a problem for years. It’s when dogma is created out of outdated scientific understandings, or when we favor ’scientific recommendation’ that is put forth by a couple scientists but isn’t actually backed up by anything.

This form of ‘unscientific’ behaviour has been going on for years - we’ve been reporting on it for years. It has made people doubt incredible advancements in natural health, consciousness, life after death, and more.

This current pandemic has people believing in many things that are quite unscientific. And to me, there are only a few key possibilities as to why these narratives are being put forth.

1. Those in positions of leadership, guiding this process, are truly incapable

2. Everyone is being over the top careful, even when science doesn’t support the need for it, just so they don’t get in trouble.

3. This is not about a virus, but about something else. Dogma is created out of outdated scientific understandings. Or when we favor ’scientific recommendations’ put forth by a couple scientists that are not actually backed up by anything rigorous.

The point is, in the West, people are misguidedly obsessed with science… except for when it comes to this pandemic it seems.

What about our current state of consciousness has us so stuck on not being the truth?
