Beautiful Day Foraging, Connecting with the Land, Plants and a Plant Lover & Homesteader
💛
Picked loads of lilacs, was gifted many plants including horseradish, “living stones” as well as fine delicious rhubarb and Asparagus
The latter was cooked up with morels, regenerative steak and seasoned with wild-foraged spruce tip salt
What an amazing day 🌞
Thank to Louise for the tour of the land and sharing your plant gifts and knowledge

Dandelion - the Sunniest of Flowers 🌞
Just got these prepped and ready to go into the freeze-dryer for future use as a garnish on our desserts, and other kitchen creations
🌼
Dandelion petals are an incredible source of antioxidants, and are beneficial for the eyes and skin
From the petals one could make a dandelion wine, dandelion honey, or last year I infused these into butter and made an incredibly yellow dandelion petal ghee!

What’s the Difference Between Sauerkraut & KimChi?
We were recently asked if we had Kim-Chi in stock and what the difference was between it and sauerkraut…
✨
Malcolm breaks down the difference culturally as well in the context of our house-made, live-culture ferments where we use only locally grown produce
