Land Acknowledgment πŸ˜‚

Would you love to help fuel the LARGEST ongoing cleanup project in the history of the Metro Vancouver region!? Since 2019 I've done HUNDREDS of trips out to our local rivers, forests, and mountains- conducting ecological surveys, doing cleanups, and facilitating volunteer cleanup events to extract upwards of 80,000+ lbs of trash from our natural areas
~
Our first project targets for Q1 of 2025:
18 cleanup projects
30 scouting cleanup/maintenance surveys
3 ecological restoration sites
100 micro wildlife habitat installations
500 native trees/shrubs planted
~
I've put in well over 2000 hours into doing the work and building/running the organization, now I need to make sure it's sustainable. To keep the basic operations covered, for example: 6-7 hrs per week of paid labor/event coordination/surveying, laundry cost for high visibility vests + cleanup gloves, transit/travel - it would cost around 800$ per each operating month. If you'd like to be a sponsor for our work, let me know. Any amount helps cover costs!
Beautiful Day Foraging, Connecting with the Land, Plants and a Plant Lover & Homesteader
πŸ’›
Picked loads of lilacs, was gifted many plants including horseradish, β€œliving stones” as well as fine delicious rhubarb and Asparagus
The latter was cooked up with morels, regenerative steak and seasoned with wild-foraged spruce tip salt
What an amazing day 🌞
Thank to Louise for the tour of the land and sharing your plant gifts and knowledge
