OnePlus 11 Concept phone unveiled at MWC 2023
Those colorful strips on the back are designed to show off the phone’s Active CryoFlux cooling system which is a fancy term for a closed-loop liquid cooling system like available on a desktop PC but miniaturized greatly for a smartphone
OnePlus says an “industrial-grade piezoelectric ceramic micropump” pushes liquid throughout the device’s pipelines, and that takes up less than 0.2cm² of space.
The pump circulates the fluid, which moves around the tubing that acts as a heat sink and radiator, absorbing heat from the SoC and releasing it slowly over the course of its run back to the pump.
You can see it moving clearly in the video above
OnePlus claims that Active Cryoflux can reduce temperatures up to 2.1°C, and increase 3-4fps in a game.
During charging, the temperatures can go down by 1.6°C, shaving off 30-45 seconds from the charging time.
