AI demand may increase smartphone prices.

Big companies like Alphabet and Meta are buying many memory chips for AI computers. Because of this, fewer memory chips are available for smartphones.

Phone RAM prices are up about 70%, and phone storage prices have almost doubled since early 2025. Experts say prices may rise another 40% by mid-2026.

This makes phones more expensive to make. Phone makers now spend 8–15% more on each phone.
