In the article it says a duck can eat 200 locusts a day.
So if the 100,000 ducks all do their absolute best and knock out 250 locusts each that's only 25,000,000 locusts a day.
It would take all those ducks hitting peak locust eating capacity 4.38 years to clear this locust swarm.
So it's a nice idea but to clear the swarm in a reasonable timeframe (10-15 days) you'd need 20 million ducks, that's of course assume they all stay there and exclusively eat locusts...
