Watch our latest podcast appearance on the Free Cities Podcast: Episode 188 - Mesh Networks, Web 5, and the Plan to Build a Parallel Society on Bitcoin with Polycarp Nakamoto
They move from the question of anonymity, through the architecture of a second internet (mesh networks, Bitcoin nodes, Nostr, e-cash), to the harder problem sitting underneath all of it: people. Along the way: why Poly thinks the internet has roughly five years left, what a private AI living inside a shipping-container home looks like, why he frames the whole thing as a fork between a CBDC dystopia and a sovereign solarpunk future, and a genuine back-and-forth about whether any of this survives contact with the human condition. Timothy is an old Bitcoiner who runs his own node and lives on a remote farm, so in many ways Poly is preaching to the choir. But this is not an infomercial for the sovereign life, and the scepticism is real.

The first Trump administration tried to usher in pre-crime to stop shootings and terror "before it happens" by having AI give Americans risk scores for "neuropsychiatric warning signs" based on their social media activity. The first Trump admin's AG Bill Barr also created the legal rails for pre-crime at the DOJ and FBI.
Now, the Trump administration is doing it all for real with Kash Patel, at a time when other admin officials have claimed that political opposition to their agenda is indicative of a "resurgence" of political "terrorism." Kash Patel has teamed up with Silicon Valley and AI to decide who gets put on the naughty list.
Instead of an uproar over the complete destruction of our remaining civil liberties, there are crickets. A good segment of people who used to claim they were advocates for civil liberties, personal freedoms and personal sovereignty are now instead tied up in embarrassing personality cults, NGU derangement syndrome, and/or bleating that "open source" AI will save us all.
The FBI's pre-crime AI could be "open source" and it would still work as intended and still be just as detrimental to our freedoms. Making a digital prison "open source" doesn't change how it functions, it just makes the walls a little more opaque, that is - if you can even read and understand the code, which most people can't.
"Open source" is a buzzword that has become largely meaningless, like "natural" on American food labels. Stop acting like it will save the US from tyranny. There is a reason the EXACT people involved in making AI pre-crime in the US a reality have been recently tweeting about how "open source" AI will somehow prevent its misuse by bad actors. They are lulling you into a false sense of security as they pull the switch.
The tyrants are in power, they are Neo-cons with a new coat of paint, it couldn't be clearer. They are now ANNOUNCING they are using AI to target domestic dissent, and whether it is open source or not, it will work as intended.
I don't give a shit if you can get Grok or Claude or whatever the fuck to say "based" things, you are now training it to label you a thought crime "terrorist." All of the big AI companies contract with military and intelligence and hand over your conversations with their chatbots to law enforcement without a second thought.
The FBI's AI for this purpose was most likely trained to define what is "terrorism" by Bnai Brith's ADL, just like actual FBI agents have been for decades. You know who has run and funded Bnai Brith (a literal secret society) for the last several decades? The same billionaires that gave you Jeffrey Epstein.
My work for almost ten years has been warning about exactly this. A lot of my past "controversial" work on Epstein, intelligence and so on has since been heavily vindicated, please listen and get your head out of Silicon Valley's asshole before it's too late.

The Tax Break Fueling AI Data Centers
Did you know 100% bonus depreciation allows companies to write off all costs of machinery and equipment retroactively since January 2025.
It’s a massive incentive that could be a reason for the rapid expansion we’re seeing right now.

77-Year-Old Florida Retiree Found A Way To Beat Flock Cameras Without Touching Them
"Gunn positions himself beneath the camera while holding a pole with a sign in front of its field of view.
According to local television reports, he deliberately chose a peaceful demonstration after seeing others resort to property damage. “I said, ‘What can I do to voice my opinion?'” Gunn told FOX 13. “They’re destroying property. I don’t want to do that.”

Did you know U.S. AI data centers have had 100% bonus depreciation since 2025?
That lets them retroactively write off the entire cost of their machinery and equipment from their taxable income. No wonder they've been building like mad.

Big thanks to everyone who participated in the first Reclaim Our Future day of action against AI Data centers!
We had dozens of actions today in the US and a couple in the UK. Stay tuned for pictures.
This was our first effort focusing on this singular issue that I see uniting left, right, center, apolitical and politically homeless people.
I also want to share that I have been disappointed as I found that there are many big groups and organizations who are taking on the data center issue who do not share the interest in a united non-partisan movement. Some groups didn't respond to our inquires for collaboration, others have made it clear they only want to work with "their side", and some seem to be directly opposed to communication and collaboration.
Nevertheless, I remain committed to working with those who are fighting data center development, especially those who recognize the role data centers are playing in the construction of the Technocratic surveillance state.
The future is too important to get trapped in factionalism, ego traps, and ignorance. Working together is key.
Cheers to those focused on that mission as we build the better world we know is possible!

Did you know data‑center sites are typically sited just a few miles from urban areas, often clustered together to share power and water infrastructure?
That proximity puts massive strain on local water and energy grids—some of the largest centers under construction now draw as much power as millions of homes.

Why Are China's AI Data Centers Sitting Empty?
China is leading in AI adoption, but what most people don’t know is that a shocking 80% of their AI data centers are sitting completely empty.
In this discussion with Dr. Kaufman, I break down how overinvestment in the wrong things has led to a bubble and that consumer demand just isn’t there - despite all the hype.

Sustaining the City by Draining the Countryside
While critiques of Indian agriculture have long focused on the crisis of commercial cash crops and the corporatisation of wheat and paddy procurement, this focus creates a significant oversight. By treating the state-backed system as the universal standard, such analyses overlook the reality of the vast majority of smallholders—those growing pulses, millets and rain-fed crops who were never integrated into formal procurement to begin with.
Consider the micro-farm in the foothills of Uttarakhand. A family tends a modest plot: a dozen goats, backyard poultry supplying fresh eggs and a handful of citrus and mango trees—one lemon tree alone yielding…...
