Dogru is a journalist, a German citizen living in Berlin.

After reading his post, I sent him a private message offering to order groceries and have them sent to his home.

The reply shocked me even more. “Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to accept any financial or material support,” Dogru wrote.

Dogru is the first European Union citizen known to be living inside the EU to face extrajudicial sanctions imposed by Brussels – robbing him of fundamental civil and humanitarian rights.

He’s also the first person to be sanctioned specifically for his reporting related to Palestine.

“I’m not allowed to exist anymore, I’m not allowed to provide my children with the basic necessities,” he explained on The Electronic Intifada Podcast this week.

“I can’t pay my rent, I can’t pay my lawyers and yes – I’m not even allowed to accept any kind of food, water or medicine whatsoever from third parties.”

Technically, that even includes his own wife.

Dogru was born in Germany and raised there all his life. He was the founder of Red, an independent publication that extensively covered protests in Germany against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Update: Google has not “backed down” from developer verification

Contrary to a vague mention ↗️ of a possible “advanced flow” that may eventually allow “experienced users to accept the risks of installing software that isn’t verified”, Google’s description of the program ↗️ continues to state plainly that:

Starting in September 2026, Android will require all apps to be registered by verified developers in order to be installed on certified Android devices

Until such time that they have shown evidence that it will be possible to bypass the verification process without undue friction, we must believe what is stated on their official page: that all apps from non-registered developers will be blocked once their lock-down goes into effect.

What Epstein's Emails Reveal About Privacy and Power

After missing the deadline for the Epstein Transparency Act, the DOJ released an additional 3M pages of Epstein emails and documents, many heavily redacted. Another 2.5M documents will remain unreleased, supposedly to protect victims.

The full dataset is on the Justice Department website, and researchers are already repackaging it with AI tools to make it searchable. I used some of those tools to dig into what these files reveal about how elites behave behind closed doors, and how arrogance shows up in the details.

Epstein and associates operated brazenly through Gmail and Yahoo, using attachments and file transfers while also maintaining serious infrastructure across multiple properties.

Do not let this drain your power. Expect little from the system. Focus on personal accountability and building a life that does not feed the abusive systems that make crimes like this possible.
