Случайно наткнулся на эту новость.
Микшер, с возможностью доступа к настройкам звуковых карт, скрытым от глаз пользователей современных звуковых серверов типа pipewire и pulseaudio. То, что так любят пользователи прямой работы с Alsa. Графический аналог alsamixer.Позволяет подкрутить громкости, переключить режимы и всё то, чем изобилуют звуковые карты настольных компьютеров, иногда приводя в замешательство пользователей Линукс, которые спрашивают тут, где найти переключалку потерявшихся задних наушников, или ещё чего.Отдельно хочу заметить возможность сохранить настройки, не надо будет писать alsactl store, или запускать alsamixer от рута, чтобы после перезагрузки не сбросились настройки.Картинки позволил себе взять из оригинальной новости. Только потому, что на моей лаптоповской звуковушке нечего особо показать.Да, есть qasmixer, но автор сделал лучше. Попробуйте.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Codename Revealed as ‘Resolute Raccoon’

Ubuntu has announced the codename of its next release, 26.04 LTS, as “Resolute Raccoon”. The codename was chosen by former Debian and Ubuntu release manager (and long-time Canonical employe) Steve Langasek, who passed away at the start of 2025. As the next long-term support release, Ubuntu 26.04 LTS will be backed by 5 years of going updates on the desktop, including 3 years of hardware enablement updates, and a further 5 years of critical security patches via Ubuntu Pro. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is due for release in April 2026.

Обновление графического редактора GIMP 3.0.6

Представлен выпуск графического редактора GIMP 3.0.6. Готовые сборки опубликованы для Linux (AppImage и Flatpak для архитектур x86 и ARM64), macOS и Windows. Основное внимание при подготовке новой версии уделено исправлению ошибок и регрессивных изменений. Новая функциональность развивается в ветке GIMP 3.1, на базе которой будет сформирован стабильный выпуск GIMP 3.2 с поддержкой слоёв-ссылок (Link layer) и векторных слоёв (Vector layer), а также расширением поддержки цветовой модели CMYK и возможностей для управления цветом.

Андреас Клинг (Andreas Kling) сообщил об успешном прохождении браузером Ladybird 90% тестов из набора web-platform-tests, определяющих совместимость с эталонной web-платформой. По заявлению компании Apple прохождения 90% тестов достаточно чтобы считаться альтернативным браузерным движком для iOS. Ladybird успешно прошёл 1861183 проверки из 2033861. Для сравнения Chromium 139 прошёл 1996034 проверок, Firefox 143 - 1942510, Safari 26.0 - 1952703, Servo - 1672466.
