Проект Линкметр анонсировал публикацию клиентской CLI утилиты для Linux. В свете блокировки популярного сервиса SpeedTest на территории РФ пользователи интернет-услуг теперь могут снова контролировать скоростные характеристики своих соединений - но уже с использованием отечественного бесплатного независимого сервиса.
Проект Линкметр (https://linkmeter.net) является бесплатным и поддерживается компанией ООО «Трилайн» на инициативных началах. По заявлению разработчика целью проекта является обеспечить пользователя тем функционалом, который предлагает зарубежный аналог. Отличительной же особенностью сервиса Линкметр является то, что измерения могут быть юридически значимыми. Для проведения таких измерений пользователь теперь может выбрать специальные серверы для проведения таких тестов.
Уже сейчас на сервисе доступны тесты с использованием Web-браузера, мобильных приложений и инструментов командной строки. В ближайшее время проект будет готов предложить ряд улучшений.
При выборе сервера для проведения теста сервис выбирает ближайший по расстоянию к клиенту сервер и предлагает его по умолчанию, однако существует возможность выбрать сервер вручную. Операторам связи Линкметр предлагает присоединиться к сообществу и разместить сервер у себя на площадке, дав клиентам возможность оценить качество услуг.

Уязвимость в подсистеме io_uring, позволяющая повысить привилегии в системе

В интерфейсе асинхронного ввода/вывода io_uring, предоставляемом ядром Linux, выявлена уязвимость (CVE-2025-39698), позволяющая непривилегированному пользователю добиться выполнения своего кода на уровне ядра. Уязвимость вызвана отсутствием проверки существования объекта перед выполнением операций с этим объектом. Проверить состояние новой версии пакета или подготовки исправления в дистрибутивах можно на следующих страницах (если страница недоступна, значит разработчики дистрибутива ещё не приступили к рассмотрению проблемы): Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, SUSE/openSUSE, RHEL, Gentoo и Arch.
