В перспективе, к версии Python 3.17, Rust может стать обязательной зависимостью при сборке CPython.

Доступен выпуск дистрибутива AlmaLinux 9.7, синхронизированный c новым выпуском Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.7 и содержащий все предложенные в данном выпуске изменения. Установочные образы подготовлены для архитектур x86_64, ARM64, ppc64le и s390x в форме загрузочного (1 ГБ), минимального (2 ГБ) и полного образа (10 ГБ). Позднее будут сформированы Live-сборки с GNOME, KDE, MATE и Xfce, а также образы для плат Raspberry Pi, контейнеров, WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) и облачных платформ.

zssh — реализация SSH на языке Zig от разработчиков OpenSUSE

Разработичики OpenSUSE представили zssh — реализацию протокола SSH на языке Zig. В разработке реализована работа с ключами и сертификатами, а также взаимодействие с ssh-agent. Алгоритмы шифрования поддерживаются с помощью уже существующих библиотек.
В качестве целей разработки называются возможности языка для легкого расширения с целью реализации посткватновых алгоритмов шифрования и расширением протокола в целом. Изначально в проект заложена поддержка криптографических библиотек libcrypto и leancrypto.

The issue affects a specific subset of commercial customers using cloud-based licensing activation. This ESU issue appears to be unrelated to the error, 'We can't enroll you in Extended Security Updates right now,' because the enrollment error prevents access to ESU updates, while the current issue affects installation on devices that are already enrolled. Microsoft now released the KB5072653 update to fix the 0x800f0922 error.

С выпуском первого кандидата в релизы совершена заморозка строк и остановлен приём новой функциональности в рамках цикла разработки GIMP 3.2.
