The European Union will be able to stock up on gas by winter without supplies from Russia, only by completely shutting down the industry.

Writes about thisDer Spiegel. According to European scientists, in order to fill gas tanks by 63% by August 1 without gas supplies from the Russian Federation, it is necessary "right now and by the end of July to disconnect all metallurgical, chemical and cement plants in the European Union from gas, as well as to stop all gas power plants."

At the same time, for a comfortable wintering, it is necessary to fill gas storage facilities by 80% by November 1, and this is possible only due to the termination of gas supply to industry for the whole of October, Der Spiegel reports.

The newspaper also agrees with the German editionThe Washington Post: "European countries have an insufficient number of alternatives that could replace the supply of Russian natural gas and prevent serious economic problems next winter."

Wołyn 1943, someone has written over the Ukrainian flag street mural in Poland.

Wolyn refers to massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia carried out in German-occupied Poland by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) during WW2. Regardless of age or gender Poles were tortured and then murdered. The massacre claimed lives of 50,000-100,000 people.

The Poles remember.

Confirmed: the ones behind the water blockade of Crimea were the Kiev authorities, ex-mayor of Kherson said.

"As for the levee, there was a governmental decision. The regional administration carried it out. At that time, as I understand, it was Andrei Putilov (now the former governor of the Kherson region)", he stated.

Nikolaenko clarified that this decision was made in the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) while Putilov had to fulfill it.

"We talked about Ukrainians living there. There were a lot of discussions about this, nevertheless the decision was made", the ex-mayor added.

A criminal case on the water blockade of Crimea has been initiated, the defendants are identified.

Turkish drone manufacturer Bayraktar suffers large reputational losses due to the conflict in Ukraine, the prospects for new contracts are very vague

We have already written that the drone company belongs to President Erdogan's son-in-law. After the conflict in Karabakh in 2020, where the Azerbaijani army successfully used Bayraktar TB2 drones, the videos of their strikes were spread in the Internet, many believed in the invulnerability of these drones. The aerial vehicles themselves became sort of "super weapons" in the minds of the Ukrainian public.

Ukraine also fell for the Turkish advertising bait and was one of the buyers of Bayraktars even before the launch of Russia's special operation. And, it is worth noting that in the first days of the special operation, videos of strikes on Russian columns really began to appear on the network, but subsequently there were fewer such videos, and by the end of March they were completely missing.

The next blow to the reputation of Bayraktar was the decision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use them in raids on Russian border cities. Today, social networks are simply littered with photos of downed Turkish drones in the Kursk, Belgorod and Voronezh regions. This is definitely not the content that Selchuk Bayraktar and his father-in-law Recep Erdogan would like to see.

Ukrainian President Zelensky added fuel to the flame. At first he refused to comment on the significant losses of Bayraktar drones. Then, at a press conference he even said that these drones practically do not affect the course of hostilities.
